My baby will be four weeks old tomorrow, and is very restless during the day, then sleeps in the afternoon, and restless again all night. I wondered if taking him for a walk would be okay and would help him get tired and maybe sleep better. I thought maybe the fresh air would help? I live in Maryland and it is 45 degrees outside? Is that too cold for a jaunt around the block?

My hubby and I have been ttc#1 for 7 months. I started using OPK's and charting 2 months ago and have noticed that I have a short luteal phase (7-8 days). Anyone out there have this problem and what did you do to solve it? I have a call in to my OB/GYN but I'm looking for some insight from those with experience. Thanks in advance!

I am 25 1/2 wks. pregnant and had an ultrasound yesterday. They were concerned that my cervix wasn't as long as it should be at this stage, they said it was really short, and the baby's weight is now at 2 lbs., which was also a concern, they thought he is bigger than he should be. Has this ever happened to anyone else? They kept asking me if I've been having any contractions, which I haven't. They're worried I'll go into pre-term labor. I feel fine, haven't had any "strange" symptoms or anything. I'm thinking I should just take it easy til I can talk to my regular doc about this. Unfortunately for me, the office is closed today, so I'm hoping someone out there can give me some insight. Thanks!

my son is 3 and doesn't talk much and has speech delay, will get that checked out next month, but he understands and is able to do for himself and is potty trained. If I give him a task he can do it. My son has the need to order things all the time. If there's cups stacked he will unstack them and line them up side by side so that there straight. if there's a sit of books he will line those up too. I have picture of this but can't add them to this post. is this normal to want to line things up so straight at his age? he can spend up to an hour doing these kinds of things and gets mad if the order is not the way he wants. please help

People in my family are having babies left and right. Personally, they are cute and all, but not really my thing.
When we all get together, sometimes they suggest that I have a turn holding the baby.

Ughhh, no thanks. Not for me. But how do I refuse politely?? New parents are so sensitive.

I am considering being induced tomorrow, but I DO NOT want and epidural (fear of infection in spinal column...yes, it happens).

I just want to hear if anyone has had Pitocin but no epidural.

My daughter will be 4 in February. My husband and i are having problems getting her potty-trained. She goes poo fine, but when it comes to going pee on time, she has problems. She doesn't make it on time or not at all. We've tried giving her a piece of candy everytime she goes...but i have my doubts. Also she's having a hard time learning colors, counting numbers and her abc's. She can count to around 14 perfect but if you mix them up she gets confused. She can say her abc's, but thinks of it as just a song, not as actual letters. I've tried Vtech Vsmile and other learning sources. Do i have go back to the basics of an infant???

she doesnt want it and she has a 1 year old she already neglects and mistreats she tells the baby she hates her and smacks her ,she says that theres a way by signing our names on the birth certificate and us being there within 3 days we could just take the baby and shell never try to reclaim it and that the birth certificate is legal or what not it seems too easy to be true she lives in california we live in arizona ,we cant have babies and are dying for one, shes going to give it up or abandon it at a fire station or church if we dont take it, but we dont know whats the process .and if its wise to adopt a baby form a sibling, also if we should tell the baby its adopted and when.

I have gone through many different types in search of a happy medium between the best (HUGGIES! --expensive!!!!) and the not so great (Parent's Choice--cheap but plastic ), Pampers are okay they seem to make my son feel wet with the slightest moisture. Huggies he can pee a river and never feel a thing. So, I use Huggies at night and Pampers or White Cloud from Walmart (whichever is cheaper with or without coupons). Do you use

I'm 34 + 2 and for the past week or so, I have had bits of my plug coming out mixed with blood. I rang my labour ward and was told to do nothing, just wait it out and I should be in labour within a week. She said unless there is just blood on it's own without mucus then it's ok.

I also mentioned that twice this week, I have had really strong contractions every 3 mins for several hours. She was not concerned at all.

Is this normal? I would have thought she would have been worried as she says I should be in labour by 35 weeks! This is my second baby, first born at 37 weeks weighing 9lb12oz.

Me and my Husband,Jay have 3 kids so we have hired a Nanny.

The Nanny was watching the kids, so me and Jay went upstairs for gentle sex, seeing as i'm pregnant.

Our 6 year old wanted something from her room. You know how it is, She couldnt find it. So she walked in to our room and asked where it was.

We didnt hear her come up and she saw us, because we didnt have a cover over us and to make things worse we were both Naked.

She keeps asking what we were doing, but both of us change the subject straight away!

Any suggestions on what to tell her, because shes way too young to know about sex!

Has this happened to you before?

We put our baby down on a bouncy seat or on a bed, etc. after putting her to sleep by rocking her in our arms, etc. Initially, she sleeps, then she wakes up after 5-10 minutes. Then we have to start over. How can we increase these 5-10 minute naps to about 2 hours maybe? She was born 08.11.07.
