depends...

some tests are made said to be so sensitive it can detect pregnancy a week before your period is due.. first response i think.

this was the one i used 3 days before my period was due.. i got a positive, only because i was pregnant with triplets and my hormone levels were thru the roof.

One of my friends didnt get a positive result until she was 4 months pregnant, and that was using first response too.

the best and most effective test is blood. Get the doctor to take a blood test. its not wrong and very sensitive.

If its positive, it is right. You cannot get a false positive. Although, if you take it early it can come up negative when you really are. There are certain tests that can tell you up to 5 days before your missed period. Remember it says UP TO 5 days before. Sometimes it can only tell you 1-2 days before. The test called "First Response" can tell you up to 5 days before your missed period. What I would do is go to Walgreens or CVS and look through all of the pregnancy tests available. There should be a small variety of tests that say right on the package that they can detect pregnancy before your missed period. Those are spendy though. If I were you, I would go to the dollar store and buy a handful of tests for $1 each. They are just as accurate as the spendy EPT tests. They have the same exact sensitivity as those expensive tests but they are only $1. Start about 5 days before your missed period, and if they are negative, continue to test every day until your period comes or until you get a positive (whichever happens). Maybe you could buy one First Repsonse kit and 2-3 dollar store tests. Start with the early tests 4-5 days before your period is due and if its negative, continue taking the dollar store tests each day until you get your period or get a positive. Another option is going to your doctor's office for a blood pregnancy test. These can detect pregnancy only days after conception takes place. These can tell you even earlier than the First Response tests can.

I would say wait until you are late I took a pregnancy test on Dec 2nd which was Sunday with a negative result then took a test two days after I missed my period which was the 6th and got a positive. So 4 days made the difference of a positive and a negative.

if you get an early detection one it may come up right. I will say this if it comes up positive then you are pregnant if it comes up neg. then take one when you miss your period. Not everyone has enough hormones to come up on an early preg. test.

No, you will not get a correct reading. wait about 5 days after you missed period (I know, the anticipation kills....)Then take it. You should get a clear reading then.

if you take one and it says you ARE pregnant then take it to the bank you are, but if its before your period and its false then i would give it a few days and take another one, false is ?able but positive is a guarantee

You wont get a false positive, but you wont get a real negative until you're late for your period.

Wait until you're late.
