I think it's cute- I like the unisex names, but perhaps spell it differently from the "boy" version
Dani
Danni

I don't think Danny is a great choice. I'd use Daniela or Danica, with Danny/Dani/Danni as a nickname.
You might also consider Delaney - it's close to Danny, and has that gender neutral feel, but feels like a better choice for a girl.

My daughter's name is Danni. She was born 2 days after Christmas so her middle name is Noel. She's named after her dad and she loves her name and argues that Danni (Danny) is a girls name- end of story. Pretty opinionated for a 7 year old. So yeah, she's Danni Noel.

As soon as I read this question I thought of that show "Shot at Love" or whatever it is with the bisexual girl named Tila Tequila or whatever. Very dumb and gross show to me.. but there was a girl on there named "Danni" that dressed like a dude. I've always thought of Danny as a guy's name.. Sorry if my answer is a little weird.. I'm just being honest.

I don't like Danny for a girl or a boy. To make it more for a girl spell it Danni. Best wishes!

I prefer the spelling Dani or any variant of that for a more creative and feminine touch. But, keep in mind that your baby won't be a baby forever, and while that name is adorably cute, she may not like it 20 years from now when she's trying to get i job. Maybe name her Danielle, Daniella or a variant of that and call her Danny as a nickname.

Beautiful. But I would use Danny as a nickname. A name I have always loved is Danica. You could call her Danny. I am having the same problem with people telling me not to name my daughter Billie. It's up you...if you like it....do it. Good luck!

I would think that's fine as a nickname. But, please, on the birth certificate, put Danielle or Daniella, so your child has more options when she grows up. Even if you always intend to call her Danny (spelled however looks fine to me), then still put a full name on the birth certificate, just to allow her more sophistication when she's an adult. I would say use Daniella if the baby has some sort of Hispanic or Spanish heritage in her; if not, use Danielle. But I do think it is a lovely name as long as it's full on the birth certificate.
