I have gone through many different types in search of a happy medium between the best (HUGGIES! --expensive!!!!) and the not so great (Parent's Choice--cheap but plastic ), Pampers are okay they seem to make my son feel wet with the slightest moisture. Huggies he can pee a river and never feel a thing. So, I use Huggies at night and Pampers or White Cloud from Walmart (whichever is cheaper with or without coupons). Do you use

Anjie ---I haven't been shopping at a mall in over three years, don't pay for exercise I can do at home. I didn't ask for suggestions on being thrifty, I think I have that pretty covered, thanks anyway.

Seventh Generation!!
I was using Pampers for months, but my son developed a ridiculously stubborn diaper rash so we switched to Huggies just in case the diaper was the issue. Huggies seemed to work just as well & didn't have that overwhelming powdery smell.
Then we switched to Seventh Generation diapers. These diaper do cost a bit more than the brand name diapers, but they fit very well, are super absorbant, and as an added bonus they're supposedly better for the baby's skin. These are what we'll use (day & night) until he's potty trained.
His rash cleared up after about a week of using the Seventh Generations, but I don't if it was the diaper of the million of other things we were trying out.

I've been using the costco Kirland brand for a couple months now and just LOVE them. A large box costs me about $40 CAD and lasts about a month. By far the most economical you can get! I find that they're very absorbant and fit well with velcro closures. The outside of the diaper feels a bit papery, but the inside part that hits the baby's skin is just as soft as pampers or huggies. If you have a costco near you and you or a friend has a membership, give them a try.

For some reason, Ive had bad experiences with every brand.....from Pampers to Publix to White Cloud....Huggies is the one that works for my son. I havent tried Luvs yet, they never have them in his size. I do get coupons through the mail all the time for Huggies though thank God! :)

Yeah, huggies are expensive, but they keep my son from leaking! They hold soooo much. I buy the huggies supreme natural fit because they are thicker and they do wonders at night time. Every other diaper i have used have just leaked at night.
I have used the huggies overnights, but i found that the huggies supreme actually work better at preventing leaks than those.
I hate luvs, not a big fan of pampers (except the swaddlers) and i feel like i am putting cardboard on my son if i use generic brands. I tried white cloud when he was a newborn and i liked them, but every time i go to walmart they don't have any in size 5, so i just buy the huggies.
I do have to admit the Costco Kirkland brand diapers work well and you get a bunch of diapers for under $40!

I like Huggies Supreme the best but settle for the regular huggies. I am about to try the Kirkland brand from Costco. 200+ diapers for $30 is a steal and I was told they are comparative to huggies. I am going to get their wipes also. I'm not too picky about that. I use the papmers wipes which compared to huggies wipes are MUCH thinner, but you get more bang for your buck and since they don't fall apart, I don't see the need for all that extra cushioning, it's only baby pee and poo.
I use the same diapers day and night.

I prefer Pampers Baby Dry (not the swaddlers) for my little girl. I also like the Huggies brand. I liked swaddlers for newborn, but when I got to stage 1... preferred the baby dry.
I've tried a few store brands and have been HORRIBLY disappointed! They all felt like cardboard to me! I also tried Luvs and hated them!
My daughter has never had any leaks or problems with the Pampers or Huggies. I generally use just the Pampers, but will buy Huggies if they're on sale for $2 or more dollars below the pampers.

Pampers Cruiser mommy here! I'm a pampers diaper, huggie wipes kinda mommy!
We, like you, tried EVERY diaper available. My daughter was breast fed and pooped ALL THE TIME and it always went thru the diaper. The Cruisers have been the best for us but I bring Sam's Club Members Mark brand diapers to day care since the change her every 2 hours, wet or not.

Huggies are my favorite, too. I also like the HEB brand (HEB is a grocery store) and to me those are even better than Pampers brand and to me are the closest to Huggies. They're only about $6 a package.

I use Pampers, we tried Huggies but I just hated them, she pees so much that the diaper would burst before I could change it! Literally, I would check her diaper and it'd be dry, 10 minutes later it had burst with urine.
Pampers rarely leak for us and Huggies we had poop up the back at least every other day.

I worked in a daycare before my daughter was born in the 1 year old room, and I now have two kids of my own. I have experience with almost every brand of diaper there is. My favorite is Huggies. I shopped around and found that Fred Meyer's sells them for the best price in our area (13.99 full price, 11.99 on sale). Buying them in bulk at Costco or Walmart will save you money as well.
