Depends...... Is she a hoe? has she already a couple of kids that you're raising? Is she too ignorant to be able to comprehend the responsibilities of giving birth? If the answer to these three questions are in the affirmative then Yes!

Most doctors would require at least one child, and you to be a certain age or to have 3 children at a younger age. I would think at 16 a doctor wouldn't do this procedure.
As for the question, absolutely not!!! At 16 they are not an adult and that would be an adult decision.
Even at 21 would in my opinion be to young to decide that. Life changes daily and all to often we do things we wish we hadn't later on. Thats a big issue to later find it to have been a mistake. Easily your daughter could be robbed of something she may very much wish to have later on.
I find it odd for you to even consider this. Even if she is asking you can't find her mature enough for this request. I am going to assume you have other reasons behind this not listed???
I have a 15 yr old who since she was about 5 has said she will never have babies. She is adopting. She has been through alot of medical situations and the bottom line is she wants nothing to do with doctors, procedures, pain, or hospitals. She has made this statement for about 10 yrs but I still would not allow her to tie her tubes as I know at some point all that might change and probably will.

No no no! Not unless it was for health reasons (for example she has Cystic Fibrosis or some other condition that means that her life would be at risk if she were to fall pregnant)
16 is way way too young to have that sort of an op, she cannot make the decision at 16 that she doesn't want to ever have kids. (When I was 16 I was adamant that I never wanted kids, but now things have changed and it would be awful if I had made a decision like this)
Obviously if she gets her tubes ties it can be reversed but this seriously cuts her chances of falling pregnant anyway.
If it's for contraceptive purposes, get the contraception implant, it goes in your arm and lasts for three years so theres no worry about having to take a pill every day or get injections on time.

No. I think that is too early to decide if you want kids or not. If she doesn't want kids yet I would suggest birth control or the shots for birth control. She may decide later on down the road that she does want kids and if she gets her tubes tied now she wouldn't be able to change that decision. If she is really serious about not wanting kids, I'd still make her wait until she was 18 to get that done.

As someone who has my tubes tied....I would say not at the age of 16.
What happens when she's 27, married, and wants to have children????
Let her make that decision when she's older and has grown up a bit more and has had more time to think it over.

Absolutely not! A 16 year old is still a child herself and should never be allowed to make such a life altering decision! A young girls feelings about a lot of things change sooooo many times and so often that you can not possibly predict if you really want kids or not. Also, I don't know of any doctor that would do it before like 25 years old, at least one child, or under medical necessity.

absoultly not! There is no reason you could tell me at 16 that geting your tubes tied would be a good idea.
And most states wont do it before the age of 21 and then you have to have kids.

no. young people tend to make decisions and change their minds later in life. If she ever wants to change her mind and have kids, there will be nothing you can do about that later. I'd just try some form of birth control and if she wants the surgery done when she's 18, that will be solely up to her.

No way. Sixteen years old is way too young to get her tubes tied! Theres no way she would be mature enough to make such a drastic decision.
