My 11 week old wants to eat ALL day. Nothing satifies him. He sleeps through the night, so naturally I expect him to eat more during the day, but he takes an hour to eat 4-5 oz, and then half hour to and hour later, he'll down another 3-4oz. Nothing holds him off. I try to put him in his swing so I can get stuff done, but he will litterally SCREAM until I feed him more. I can't get anything done. It feels like I'm feeding him ALL day!

I ask this because I have a concern. I often pop to this section because it's here where troubled teens ask their questions. The world would be a better place if they felt they could ask someone in their family, or a trusted adult, but clearly sometimes they can't. And when they get here, what do they get, but a huge lists of "ask your Mummy, if you're asking that, you're too young to be here."

And then we as adults have the temerity to get their question removed because *we* don't like it for some reason.

My take on this, is that if a youngster is old enough to ask the question, they are old enough to be given a civilized answer that treats them with respect.

I don't think we should be so quick to congratulate ourselves on getting what we think are inappropriate questions removed.

All we've done then, is maybe leave a troubled youngster even more in the dark. So think next time. They are asking us because they feel there is no one else they can.

Out of the kindness of my heart I decided to be my sister's surrogate. I have a son and he's six months old and a husband so really and truely I've got 2 children at home. I'm 3 months pregnant and she doesn't want the baby. We discussed me being her surrogate for quite sometime before I actually did it, because I know my sister, but I honestly didn't think she'd do this. What do I need to do as far as she is concerned because technically I'm carrying my neice/nephew and I'm not going to hide the fact that I'm not his/her mother. My husband and I can afford to keep the baby, so that's what we're prepared to do. My thing is what if she decides to keep the baby, I cannot hand her this child knowing she didn't want it at one point in time. What do I need to say to her? What can I say to her? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

The little boy we are applying to adopt's name is George pronounced with the last e as a short e, like Georgeh He is very young and so we could change it if we chose to but we are both torn about the name. We have talked about the fact that he will forever be correcting people's pronouncation of his name. Neither my husband or I are one for unsual names so but it is the name his mother gave give.. We are so torn and would love to hear some opinions.

My step-daughter is 12, she has been honor roll for years, she is very responsible, respectful, and does her homework first thing when she gets home, then chores. She recently asked if she could dress a certain style (I won't reveal the style, but it's not provocative or offensive in any way). She does not want to get any tattoos or piercings or anything like that, just a certain style of clothes. No skin is being shown or anything like that either. My decision was to allow her to dress this way and express herself. She was also told that if anything starts to change regarding her attitudes, grades, etc. this will stop and she will go back to her normal clothes.

My little girl (age5) wants a cd player and cd's for christmas... she said she wants "girl music" (she has heard some songs of hilary duff and whatnot on disney) what are the best albums for her? I don't want her listening to anything like "boys boys" from britney or "dirrrrty" from christina- those girls were cute before they turned trashy... anyway any suggestions for pop music for her would be appreciated!

I am still breast-feeding my daughter (she is over a year old) a couple times a day (before nap and before bed) because it is a calming ritual for her. My nosy mother-in-law has said before to my husband (he has told me), "she's STILL breast-feeding?? Why??" And the other day she had the nerve to say to me, "You have to stop breast-feeding. You don't have a life!" How do I respond to something like that? I was totally shocked.

Hey guys! I have to write this short story for English, but I can't decide on one of the character's names, and she's the protagonist, so she's pretty important. She's eleven and has blond hair and blue eyes and is very shy and quiet. I would like if she had a more traditional name that is not widely used. Thanks so much!

I run a daycare, my rates are lower than others and I only ask that I be paid on the 14th and the 31st. A lady I babysit for moved and the company her husband worked for mailed his check to their old house so they haven't received it yet. They have to go to check in advance (or something like that) to pay me today. The 14th is crucial because our truck payment is automatically deducted on the 15th. I want to tell them not to worry about it but I can't, it's the reason I set the payday the way it is. I think she wanted me to say not to worry but I honestly can't do that, my pay days are just as important as anyone else's right?

My mom is holding my adoption papers hostage and she wount let me sign the paper that lets me see my birth parents. Her logic is that I dont need to see that right now since I'm in college and am 18 years old. Is there any way i can force her to show me the papers and let me sign them so i can meet my birth parents.
