My 11 week old wants to eat ALL day. Nothing satifies him. He sleeps through the night, so naturally I expect him to eat more during the day, but he takes an hour to eat 4-5 oz, and then half hour to and hour later, he'll down another 3-4oz. Nothing holds him off. I try to put him in his swing so I can get stuff done, but he will litterally SCREAM until I feed him more. I can't get anything done. It feels like I'm feeding him ALL day!

what stage nipple are you using on the bottle? Maybe it takes an hour because he needs a faster flow. Giving cereal early is inviting food allergies and would not do it unless advied by your doctor. It can also upset his little tummy because he is not ready for it and you could end up with a really cranky baby. thats why they say wait until 4 to 6 months and they tend to lean more towards 6 months now days.

I would go with a stage 2 nipple or one that is self adjusting and more formula in one sitting.

My son would eat just as much, I asked my midwife about it.
She suggested giving him a little baby rice cereal in with his milk or feeding about a teaspoon of baby rice cereal thinned with his milk to about a milkshake thickness. It did work for my baby, he is now 5 months old and I feed him cereal two times a day about 2tsp full at each. I used the gerber brand.
It didn't hurt him at all. Also I had started mine on cereal when he was 8-9wks old.

Before I give you an answer, I want to ask if he is flooding his diaper at least 2 times a day. If he is, then he is ok.

Sometimes babies are born with a film accross the throat blocking the nurishment from getting to him. But if he is flooding a diaper twice a day he doesn't have the condition.

I would talk to your ped and find out if at all possible if you can junior on cereal.

He could be going through a growth spurth or maybe he's not really hungry, since it takes him so long to eat, and wants to suck for comfort.

Have you tried a sling to get things done while still carrying your baby?
