Awful. Why is there an apostrophe? It looks like a name an illiterate person would make up.

Bad. Not only is it a made-up name, it's not phonetic. I have mentioned this before - I used to work in a public law office. I used to have to poll people as to how a name would be pronounced. We were often wrong. That's not only uncomfortable for me, but for the child as well.

Here's my new test for names:
1) Would you vote for a presidential candidate with this name?
2) Would you consider this a good name for a CEO of a Fortune 500 company?
3) Would you want someone named D'wantez performing your life-saving surgery or keeping you from the death penalty?
4) Would you want someone named D'wantez teaching your children spelling and grammar?

If you can answer "yes" to all of those, then go for it. Just something to think about.

As in "D'wantez me?" LOL Yes, I have to admit ... it's not all that attractive. Besides the obvious "teasing" potential, I'd avoid pretty much any name with a random prefix, odd spelling or unnecessary punctuation, and this little gem has all three. I'd have to politely pass.

If you like the sound of Juan, use Juan. If you wanted something less common, perhaps Diomedes. ;) But not "D'wantez."

No one would get dha juan tease out of d'wantez. You would wind up being called dawants or da wan tez. But it's your child, so do whatever you D'wantez. (get it-not good)

It's not so much ugly as silly. I don't like names with apostrophes in them, and the spelling looks awkward and made up.

How about just Juan, Dante, Damian, or Cortez? They have related sounds in them, and they don't look as off.

If you reallyreally like the sound of "da-won-teez", I would spell it differently: Dejuantez? Dawontes? Dajuanteez? I would just skip it.

Yes, although it sounds nice, it is an ugly looking name. You have to think of the future and the possibility of your child getting a job and not prejudged by their name.

It is a truly tragic name. Dante is fabulous. Adding in all the extra sounds is just bizarre. And, since you asked, yes. It's ugly.

It's retarded.

Don't try to be creative with your child's name. Your baby will have to deal stupid stuff his/her WHOLE life because you want to be COOL.

Cool last about 10 minutes and then it just looks stupid. Cool is a rainbow you chase and never catch.
