We have 4 children ages 5, 4, 2, and 7 months, planning on $100 each except for the baby (like $20 for him). We have some friends who spend $1000 each child and buy whatever the kids want!!

My husband and I seem to have gone a bit overboard with getting presents for our sons. LOL They are 2 1/2 years old and the youngest will turn 1 on Dec. 23. We have probably spent close to $500 on the two of them.

Zachary(2 1/2 year old)
~GeoTrax grand central station
~GeoTrax rodeo and sawmil
~Expansion and Elevation packs for geotrax
~Additional remote control train
~Imaginext Pirate ship
~GI Joe
~Pajamas
~Some clothes
~Build a monster puppet
~Quizzard
~Memory Game
~Book for his Leap Pad

Xander(1 year old)
~Amazing Animal train
~3 Amazing animals sets that hook onto train
~4 additional amazing animals
~Learning Kitchen(yes, the one that was recalled, I ordered the repair kit)
~Bath toys
~Pajamas
~Some clothes
~2 personalized cloth diapers
~Books

They are both getting a bounce castle for the basement playroom.

I have finished all of my Christmas shopping; and did most of my shopping online. I live in the interior of Alaska, so our shopping is kind of limited. I ordered most of my stuff from Target though.

*ETA*
My husband REALLY wants this Christmas to be special. He has done a lot of the shopping and picking things out, because he missed out on that last year. He was deployed and got home right before I had our youngest, so the shopping and wrapping were done. He will be deployed for next Christmas, so as a "just in case" he wants to make sure our kiddos get everything they can while he's around.

Somewhere between $100 and $150, probably. My husband and I have already shopped around a bit, and we have our eye on a $70 bouncer (like a mini version of the huge inflatable ones you see at carnivals and fairs) and a $30 ride-on car. Plus I'll probably buy him a few books and some small stocking-stuffer toys. He'll only be 22 1/2 months, so it's not like he really understands what's going on yet. Also, he's not big enough to ask for anything yet.

As for my neice and my husbands two baby sisters, I 'm spending about $10-$15 apeice on them. The two sisters (8 and 11) are each going to get 2 books (I've ordered them already), and our neice's gift hasn't been decided on yet. She'll be 2, so maybe a babydoll of some sort. If I come across something I really like, I'll get something else small for the sisters, too.

I also have 2 younger siblings, and I haven't picked anything for them out yet.

My favorite stores to shop at are WalMart, Target, and Big Lots. They have such a huge selection that's it's practically impossible to walk out empty-handed.

Well, we want to aim for $100 but I'm not sure that's gonna happen. We're getting her a rocking horse, and right there that's $60. And then a little people playhouse, another $30. And I still want to get her flashcards, books, puzzles, coloring stuff, a couple DVD's...etc. But I'm going to try and get as close to $100 as I can. Our daughter is 18 months. My favorite store to buy from is Target. I was comparing prices online on the same exact toys between Target and Toys R Us and Target prices were lower by at least a couple bucks for every toy. Definitely Target.

Well, my daughter will only be about 1 month old so I am just getting her a build-a-bear w/ an embroidered shirt w/ her name and bday as a keepsake and a bible w/ her name on it, and maybe a piggy bank.

I have issues w/ spending too much or getting too much for any age because then kids think Christmas and they think presents... I want my daughter to think of Christ and the gift he gave her, not what she might be getting. When she's older I plan on getting her things that are educational or encourage a special interest, not junk toys or video games. As for favorite store I just shop online for good deals at whatever store has them!

It Just depends on what each can afford ..
I can afford to get my three kids the things i like to get them as I buy them all in the sales and layby them .. I have finished my shopping for the kids and the rest of the family several months back . I started in July .
I get my kids a big prezzie to share ie this year is a trampoline with the nets around etc. $250
they get a big prezzie each , Girls are getting a bike and Son a playstation all around $ 150 each item, then they get little individual presents ive spent around another $200 each child . Like I say I bought everything when the come on special price around July August .. much easier for me . they get lots of money from relo's in england and family In Australia ( which is where im at ) get them Nice presents also so thats plenty for them. it all what you can afford and with 4 kids its hard especially when you have left it to the last min (no offence there). Oh and my kids are 9, 5 ,4 . I like a big christmas , I always have and my hubby shakes his head to what I buy but he loves it also

I really do not have a set amount,we have five children.17,16,11,9,and a 22 month old.We try to put set amounts in the past but it never seems to work. We've actually been buying christmas presents sense early August. We hide them in the addict. What we do is pay close attention when we go to stores and the kids look at something that they want or they are trying to save up for. Then we look back on how god they behaved during the year, their grades, homework, chores, etc. Our kids are not spoiled and we try not to spoile them either. But we wante a big family and we love having big christhmases. My 17 loves music,he wants a surround by sound system. My 16 year wants a car but I don't se that happenning,so she will ettle for clothes, movies, dvd's and sge loves care bears, her room is full of care bears. Our 11 year loves sponge bob, scooby doo, skateboard, and a new bike.9 year old wants anything that has to do with high school musical and Hannah Montana.and finally our little one he loves spiderman,he calls him man-man.We are going to re-do the nursery into spiderman. He will love it.He has a spider blanket that he does not let for anything in the world. My husband wants his own computer. We have two and some one is always on both of them. And I only want the best for my family,a good christmas, and for the world to be at peace.I don't think I'm asking for to much,do you think?Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR and you and yours be blessed with many more.Take care..........

My daughter is going to be 7 months on Christmas day. We are probably going to buy a couple of outfits and a few toys. I think that it will probably be less than a hundred dollars but we don't have to spend a lot because she doesn't understand. Her daddy just likes buying things for her. He spoils her. But Good Luck.

My niece is 3 and the twins are 1, so i'm getting them the Rose Petal Cottage by Hasbro for $80 for all of them to play with, plus a gift card for my sis to buy them clothes and necessities. Probably $150-200 bucks in the gift card.

I order everything online with trusted websites of large companies. I'd rather get tons of packages in the mail than have to traverse all these crowded stores.

If you go directly to manufacturer website, you can avoid in-store mark ups and possibly get free shipping or other discounts.

I'm hoping it will keep him occupied and safe while I'm busy and the chair comes off to make a toddler toy.
and I want to get him a winnie the pooh thing that walks and plays music when you squeeze it's hand that i saw at value city.
