She doesn't know if she's having a boy or girl. She called me like 1/2 hr before the shower to ask if I wanted to ride w/ her, but I never got the invitation, so I didn't have a gift & didn't go on such short notice, but would still like to get her something? Like I said inexpensive, but something she will like & use?

Today I was told that when woman have induced labors it causes contractions that normally wouldn't happen to happen, therefore they are much more painful than natural contractions. I was also told it causes less oxgyen to the baby so it makes everythign more stressful. Is this true about inducing?

My husband and I were watching it in the room together while the kids were in the living room. We left it playing by accident when we left the room to go to the bathroom and a few minutes later my son went to the back of the house and pushed the door open to ask us a question. I walked out of the bathroom as he stepped back out of my room and I realized that he might have seen it. The computer was on my bed at an angle not fully visible from the door, and he says no that he didn't see what was on the screen. I think that he was embarrassed to say that he did and I feel horrible and don't know what to say or do. My son is 11.

I never get cramps during my period they are usually irregular and lite and never bother me, but I have been really tired, and cramping like crazy and my stomach aches and I have been getting headaches which I never get. Is it possible to be pregnant. Also my breats hurt a little but not as bad a severyone says they should???? I took a pregnancy test but I think it is too soon to tell. Can someone help.

I have a friend who was born in January,1978 here in the states, but her "Birth Mother" & "Birth Father" are from Trinidad. She just got papers from the foster care agency in Brklyn NY, MercyFirst. It just details why her mother gave her up for adoption and the situation at the time. My question to you people, what is her next step in finding her parents? There is a possibility that 2 of her aunts are here in the U.S. along with her maternal grandmother.

Ok so my son had his 4th birthday on November 7th. My sister calls him and says Auntie Crystal is coming on the weekend to see you and i have a birthday present for you to. All weekend long my son kept asking when auntie crystal was coming over, and i had to keep saying, maybe later.
She calls me from home to say she is with her "lover" and she'll stop by during the week, meaning this week.
I talk to her today and she says i'm busy i have to work you know, and i was like ok but don't promise my son something then back out on it, it hurts a kids feelings. She then procedes to tell me to lose her number and not to ever call her again, a little extreme i thought.
My son hasn't forgotten and i don't say anything to him about it cause i don't want him all worked up. My sis lives 2 minutes from here, even if she stopped by when he was gone to bed to give him a birthday card he would be happy with that.
I guess i'm angry cause my sis promised my son she would come over......

my last period was nov 4th
i had pink/brown very light bleeding for 1 day
then it was brown for the second day and still light
3rd day was redish blood a few tiny clots very very small
and ended on the 4th day...I usually go through alot of pads when i get my period but this cycle i used maybe 7 and didnt have to change alot as my flow was no where near as heavy.
i felt fine but the last 3 days or so ive been so tired in the afternoons, my boobs are bigger and i have blue veins i keep getting period like cramping and lower back aches and i feel sick by late afternoon early evening.....
Could i be pregnant even though i had my period,
or am i just getting ready to ovulate in 5-6 days....
my period is usually very heavy this was very light

Im 18weeks 5days i have cramps that go from the side of my lower back down my bottom and down my leg. gosh its so painful. it dosnt happen all the time. im not sure if i had them with my first son. is it normal. my mum said it could be the baby on a nerve or maybe because my son is 13months and im bending down to him all day. and picking him up. I have my scan tomorrow im not to worried about the baby as i feel it move all the time but it does get painful as i cant rest for ot long with jayden crawling everywhere.

my son is over a yr old and still only sleeps about 20 minutes at a time from midnight to 6, and has an hour nap in the late morning. (the doctor says he's fine)
My family is all saying I need to leave him cry it out for a few days, and that seems wrong, but frankly Im so tired I doubt my ability to judge.
Any advice?

I asked this question a week ago and just checked it now. It's 'resolved' now but I was amazed at the answers! I mean I don't see anything wrong with me (the mother) wanting my daughter to go to school or just out in public and look well groomed... I understand that at the age of 5...children's personalities rapidly expand and they want to do it THIS way have it THAT way. But I think boundaries, rules...are structural. One answerer said I 'probably scream' at my daughter when she takes her hair down...way out in left field, but okay. And if it 'hurts her' to have her hair up...my daughter is capable of telling me this. I just don't want my daughter walking around with unbrushed-looking hair. Because like it or not...some girls/women's hair can't be left down for more than 30 minutes with it looking a mess! And my daughter can't brush her hair at school or even correctly for that matter. I don't see anything wrong with a mom not wanting her daughter to take her hair down. Advice?

I have started searching for my biological parents. I have also decided to tell my adoptive parents because I would hate to hide it from them and I feel that they may have information that would make me search tremendously easier. However, why is it so hard for me to tell them? I always feel like I'm making excuses. Last week I wanted to tell my mom but she was leaving for a trip and I didn't want to upset her before she left. Then I was going to tell her tonight, but she was tired and she had bad a bad day already. Now I'm starting to think that the holidays are coming up and I don't want my parents to be upset as my dad is often a mess during the holidays anyway. I just feel like I'm making excuses and looking for the "right moment" to tell them. But I know that there never will be the right moment. Do I just blurt it out one day? How do I even approach this? It's not like there is some magic conversation that can lead up to tell them. Thanks to everyone.

I posted earlier, I'm 38 wks. I lost my m.plug last week and for the past couple of hours been having bloody show, it feels and looks much different than mucus plug. I'm very crampy, but not steady hard contractions. This is my 5th baby and yes, it will be a c-sec, but wondering what comes next? Since I've had c-secs with others, never really got to go into labor on my own, so this is sort of new. Do reg contraction start immediately for everyone else or could it be later on tonight? Husband on night shift tonight, so want to wait till for sure need to go to hosp. Will my water break? Like I said, never been through the beginnings of this before. Having lots of menstral cramps, but waiting for the regular hard as a rock contractions. Trying to soak it all in and enjoy this last little bit, since it will be my last baby. What is the general timeline for these things and how did it happen for you? As I said, it's definately bloody show, not mucus plug, -
