Im 18weeks 5days i have cramps that go from the side of my lower back down my bottom and down my leg. gosh its so painful. it dosnt happen all the time. im not sure if i had them with my first son. is it normal. my mum said it could be the baby on a nerve or maybe because my son is 13months and im bending down to him all day. and picking him up. I have my scan tomorrow im not to worried about the baby as i feel it move all the time but it does get painful as i cant rest for ot long with jayden crawling everywhere.

I think your mom is correct. It's hard chasing a little one down when you are producing another human life. If the pain persists.....take some Tylenol to help with the pain as long as your doctor states that it's okay. good luck and congrats!!!!

with my first child from 16 or 17 weeks on i limped on the left side do to my son laying on my sciatic(?) nerve it runs down your legs..and it hurt really bad i could barely get off the toilet..with my second child it didnt ever bother me..it is a nerve that runs from your back and it sounds similar to what you are describing there really isnt anything you can do about it

It sounds like sciatica, it is the baby on a nerve in your back, kind of like a pinched nerve. check out this website, if this doesnt help try mayoclinic.com, at search it, it will give you the signs and symptoms plus other helpful info

oh yes, it's part of pregnancy, just take some Tylenol for it and use a heating pad.
