3 days before my due date and my partner as been told he will need to work 1 hour and half drive time away from were we live. I sure this is discrimination because i am pregnant. He will be taking two weeks off when the baby is born bet they don't like that. The closer i get to my date it seems the more he gets these jobs working out all over the place. i cant understand why the do not use some one else it always seems to be him. He is a mechanic. When he came back yesterday to the garage after being out in the cold and rain all day the other guys were all in the warmth with the heater on nice and clean playing cricket. (they are like big kids) He will be looking for another job in the two weeks off we both do not want him to work there any longer annoying that he will have to go job hunting on his two week off which should be with his family. I would love to smack the guys he works with over the head with the cricket bat lol

My daughter was sleeping 12 hours and for the past week she has been getting up between 2:30-3:30am. We give her a cereal bottle before we put her to bed around 7:30pm. I dont understand why she is waking up. Obviously she is hungry. Should I start giving her baby food now? Any suggestions?!

My baby is 24 weeks old today so I have been referring to her as 6 months old. However, a nurse said to me she is not six months yet. I referrred to my pregnancy in weeks, not months should I be doing the same now she is here? Technically is she six months old?? Im confused with it all

i have read a couple of questions from dreamwhip, happy adoptee and noodlesmycat. I'm starting to take their questions personally!! Just because i'm for open records does not make me anti-adoption. Just b/c i found my n-mom does not mean i love my adoptive parents any less. I just wanted her to answer my questions. I'm here at my computer crying and being angry. I can't believe they feel that i'm crap because i wanted to know some medical information(diabetes runs in the family), where I came from(i'm mexican-irish). I do know of case close to home that they were abused by their adopted parents. So i feel that there should be closer screening of couples. So the child will have a happy home enviroment for all involved. I just don't understand why they think i'm anti-adoption because i want to help other adoptees who are searching. I like this forum, i have had alot of questions. And everyone has been nice to answer them. I don't know i feel like such a loser because of them.

I have an almost 2 1/2 year old and am still learning about typical toddler behaviors. Is this one? My toddler loves to put things back where they belong. Like if I leave a towel on the floor, he has to pick it up. Or if a shampoo bottle on the counter isn't facing the right way, he has to fix it. He says "Organize" when he does some of these things. I'm just curious if this is something toddlers just do as one of their toddler things or if my son just really takes after his mother. :)

I really want to have baby bingo at my sister in law's shower, but here's the reason I think its a bad idea:
She lives in CA, but both families and friends are from NJ. The shower is being held in NJ. The shower is 5 days away, and 3 things have been bought off her registry. I think people are mostly going to give her gift certificates because they are smart and don't want her to have to ship everything back to CA. HOWEVER...I really want my SIL to have the whole experience of opening the gifts and everything!! I want to do baby bingo, but I'm afraid that there will only be a few gifts for her to open and that would make the game pretty sad:(

BTW...this is a baby shower...her bridal shower a few years ago was also here in NJ and she got 1/2 gifts, 1/2 giftcards.

I'm definitely giving her a big gift, but we're going to return it here before she goes back to CA, and she can re-buy it out there. It's just fun to open all the gifts. What do you think?

Why is it that all boys do is pay attention to the talkative, loud girls and don't take the time or the energy to get to know the shy ones? Im quite shy at school, but Im not that hard on the eyes, lots of people say Im pretty. I do get the sense as well that theyre almost afriad of me. I like my shy (mysterious) personality and I dont want that to change toooo much but at the same time I want to change the boys perspective of me so they feel more comfortable around me! PLease Help!

My best friend has fostered 3 sisters for the past 5 years. They recently applied to adopt the children, I don't know all the details of the court hearing, but the judge awarded custody back to the biological parents! It's such a travesty, the girls were sexually and physically abused most of their lives, and they screamed when they had to leave my friend and her hubby. How do they cope with this, and what can I say to them? We're all shocked, everyone was positive that they would be able to adopt them.

I personally think adoptees should be allowed to see their records if its for a medical reason and if their birth parents agree to meet them. I know Im struggeling with the issue of should I find mine or should I just be happy I have great parents, which I am but part of me still wonders about her and why she gave me up. But in that same part that wonders why Im scared..... Im afraid theres a painful memory for her if I do ask about it. So as of right now I personally dont want to find her. I do if I change my mind have the website to a adoptee reunion site I can sign up for.My adoptive parents know I want to know about her and will support me if and when I do try and so does my husband. Please since this is a sensetive subject treat it with respect. Thanks guys

how could i work, finish high school and spend time with the baby???
who can look after the baby when im at school/work?
the only person at home during the day is my boyfriends mum, my grandparents and my step grandparents
my boyfriend lives half an hour drive away and i would want the child to live with me and my grandparents are very old and can only just look after themselves. im not sure my step grandparents would help but i cant afford childcare... clothes and baby milk formula and bottles and sterilisers and prams and cots are going to use all money i have plus all the money i could get off my parents.
will i have to re-do a year of school due to having time off with the baby and getting behind with coursework??
