Please do not do what the person above suggested about making one up... That is so annoying when people do that and it has a horrible reaction for the child all through school and adulthood (trust me on this, my name is 'different'). Whatever name you come across that you do happen to fall in love with, please please please make sure it is one that won't get your child beat up at school, or have the teachers not pronouncing it correctly, or having it on a resume and the potential employer can't pronounce it. I have three children and there are a few names that I would use if we had another (which we are not!!!) But, they are Mallory, Adrian, Audra and Jocelyn (oh, and a thumbs up to the person up there who has Rylee on their list... it's my daughters name!! love it)

I am so in the same boat. I have a boys name picked out already, but if I wind up having a girl I have no clue what her name will be. I tried doing the family name thing, but nothing sounded right when I said it out loud. My husband and I actually have a joke name (Virginia Lee), but I am scared if I don't find something this will be her name. I wish you the best of luck and the only thing I can think of to tell you for advice is to keep looking. Good luck I hope you find something you LOVE!!! Just remember you don't want something so out there that people will mispronce it, having a name that was unusal 30 years ago has given me a lifetime of hearing Kristen instead of Kirsten.

I never like the names my wife picks, either and she's not even pregnant. But hey, she hates traditional names like Holly, Emily, Ashly, Erin, Kristen, Victoria. So far, the only name we agreed on for a daughter is Ivy.
PS - I HATE names like Gabrielle (here comes GABBY!), Abigail, Hanna, Ruth, Edith, Constance, Isadora, Vera, Mildred, Destiny, Kaitlyn, Ridley, Brianna, Kayliegh, Leigh, Lawonda....I hate foreign names, odd names and words when naming a child because to me they sound ugly.

This is what my sister did when she had her son she found 3 names that the family liked and that she could live with, then she held the baby when it came and said the 3 names and what ever name the baby responded to that was the name.
his name is Cale Thomas and he doesn't know anyone else with that name so it is special to him.
Here are a few suggestions that i like

Have you tried to create a name? I know some people look down on this, but if you can't find anything you like, then create one you do like. Is there a boy name you like that if you changed a few letters or changed the ending sounds it would seem like a girls name? Play around with a few things, you might find exactly what you want. Congrats!

Im 29 weeks already, and I just want to know what her name is!!
When I had my son, I knew what his name was before he was born, but probably not until in the 8th month, so im sure it will come to you...as my little girls will to me :)
