your belly will go down faster than you think.. the lbs will drop...you won't lose all your weight...no your belly is not FAT, unless you gained an astronomical amount.... your skin stretched to accomodate baby's home. Now baby is out, it took 9 months to get that way..give it some time to go back to normal. Excersizing does help. but it will go down. Good luck..I am 8 months post partum, and I lost all of my baby weight and looked back to normal (better than before actually) by 5 mos. It will happen give it time! Congrats on your baby!

Okay, I'm a guy. What do I know about it anyway.
With some exercise most women can get their stomach close to it's prematernal condition. The virgin uterus is about the size of a walnut. After one pregnancy it will shrink down to aproximately the size of a lemon. After multiple pregnancies it will probably never be smaller than a grapefruit.

I looked like that for probably a week and then my weight dropped off (sort of). The actual weight from being pregnant fell right off, the Dairy Queen weight I put on while pregnant is still a struggle. You will be amazed of how the body changes back.

It takes a while for the skin to shrink back and for your organs to go back where they belong. Everyone's different, but it should be much better in a couple of months.

It takes some time for the muscles to recover from carrying a baby. It maybe some fat, but chances are it is weak muscles.
When you are cleared by your doctor you can resume exercising to get your mid section back in shape. I wouldnt do it before....can slow you down quite a bit.

with my first one, it took less then a day, with my second one it took 2 days i think (to lose that pregnant look)for everything to go back to normal, normal like pre pregnancy, it was a couple months ..it depends on the person and their body. it will go down eventually though.
