in the middle of winter as long as shes bundled up prior to the picture?

Not at all! I have a beautiful picture of my 2 daughters taken last November with sleeveless dresses on - but as you say just wrap them up before hand!

I see nothing wrong in taking a picture wearing a sleeveless dress in winter. Put on an overcoat if it's cold outside.

My 4 year old daughter just took pictures last friday and she wore a short sleeve dress but I just made sure i covered her up until we got in the mall.

No... A lot of the dresses now a days are sleeveless with a sweater. I think it would be cute!

there's probably a fashion rule against it, but if the dress is cute and it fits, put her in it. Who cares. :)
