My daughter is six and I was wondering when would be a good time to start discussing with her the world of babies and then gradually turn that discussion into sex.

....in July my baby would have been one years old. Lately I've been thinking about him and I've lost like twenty pounds since July. I want another baby, not to replace my other child but I'm lonely. My baby's father isn't really in my life too much anymore. We don't see eye to eye, the only time we see eye to eye is when I talk about our baby. He think another baby will make our "relationship" stronger. I don't know what to do. I want another baby by him but i'm afraid the same thing will happen again. What should I do?

Hey everyone -- I'm a first time pregnant mom, and I can't believe how much food I want! Is this normal? I am normally very reasonable with what I eat (105 lbs. at 5'3" tall), and I'm just completely RAVENOUS most of the time. I'll eat lunch ... say a nice hearty turkey sandwich and a side of soup. After that ... still hungry .... so I'll have some of these wheat crackers I love ... ok, still hungry. So, fruit by then because I'm feeling like I'm eating so much that I have to eat healthy things ... which I'm sure is good. But man, when does the hunger pang finally go away! lol ... help, before I eat my own arm! I need some stories ladies (or gentlemen that have had a pregnant lady in their life)!

My husband and I are considering adoption, but I am concerned that my health history will be an issue. I don't have anything majorly wrong with me, but I did suffer a stroke for unknown reasons in my early 20s. I do not have any deficiencies from the stroke at all. Recently they found elevated levels of anticardiolipin antibodies in me, which *may* have accounted for my stroke, but a lot of healthy people have high levels of these antibodies as well, and my elevated level could be transient (we will check my blood again at the end of the month to see).
It has been over 8 years since my stroke, but when people hear 'stroke' they think you have one foot in the grave already. I know the insurance companies see it that way.
Do you think this will be a major issue that will keep us from being able to adopt? I can have a baby of my own, but it would be considered high risk.

Kaeden is 3 and gets so frusterated at his new stuttering that he cries. His tubes have been clogged or something before so he had to have them cleaned out or pushed back down (I'm not sure on the details but I know he had problems with them once.) Anyway, he yells when he talks, stutters, and says "huh?" or "what". He confuses words to (we say "stop that" and he thinks we said "step back" or something similar.) Could his stuttering be because of his tubes?

How do you become a surrogate mother? The reason I ask is because I would love to be pregnant again, but do not wish to have any other children. Does the biological parents insurance cover the pregnancy? does the surrogate make any profit from being the carrier??

My nose is so dry, it happened with my first pregnancy too. And I am a very bad sleeper so my nose whisling and the dry feeling, sometimes it's bleeding a little really keeps me up.
I've tried saline mist it does nothing, since it probably due to hormones, anything else I can do?

so i just read a question and it said she was diagnosed witha threatened abortion. but it just stated she had brown discharge.
im 15 weeks and have not bled at all throughout this. a few days ago i had a very very very little bit of spotting--it was brown. and yesterday as well. but it was only maybe about 2 or 3 spots each time about the size of the top of a pen cap. is that bad? what does it mean? has it happened to you?

details please!!!

i know the pen cap thing is random but it was infront of me and i was trying to think of something everyone knows the size of.

How do you deal with bed wetting? I have a son who is 7 and we tried everthing to get him to stop wetting the bed, no drinks 2 hours prior to be time, we tried getting up in the middle of the night, we tried the matress protector, and now have resorted to diapers at night. I am only home for 2 hours a night prior to bed time, we we need to cram, dinner, baths, and a little quality time with the kids in there, so I dont have time to wash the bedding everynight, and dont think it is healthy to leave him in the pee. So what do you do? His room already smells so bad from previous accidents, and we replaced the mattris once already. He also sleep walks, and is a very heavy sleeper. When we wake him up to pee, or for any reason, he stays asleep. It is strange.

All my two year old wants to do is watch Sesame Street and Backyardigans lately. We TiVo every episode, so she knows that she can watch it whenever. I try to tell her that the characters are sleeping, then she throws a fuss and usually tosses a toy or a book at me. What can I do to end this behavior and get her interested in her toys or books again?
