My boyfriend and I have been fighting lately. I feel like he always gets his way.. I felt like he got his way when I got pregnant. Even though I played a part in it, I felt more like he would be depressed if I wasn't pregnant and when I finally was he got his way. I've always wanted a little girl since I only have brothers and all my cousins are boys.My boyfriend would always tell me that I'm having a boy and it would piss me off but once again, I feel like he is getting his way b/c today the ultrasound confirmed that I am having a boy. I am very happy that the baby is healthy and that I am having one but I am very sad that it is not a girl. When I left the office and told my mom I was actually crying because it's a boy. With the stress my boyfriend has put me thru,I used to pray to GOD let it be a girl b/c I could not handle my boyfriend and a mini version of him.I would like to know if I will ever be happy w/ having a boy because right now I feel depressed.i wanted a girl .

I have a beautiful, intelligent 4 year old daughter. She is my only child, and truly a miracle to my husband and I. Lately, I have been concerned about her. I enrolled her in a tumbling class because I thought she would really enjoy it. It is a good program where parents can watch what is happening. It also provides only positive reinforcement, like "Nice effort!" Instead of enjoying it though, she cries, tells me she is not "good enough" or "can't do it," sits in the corner, cries and pouts at the tumbling teachers, even comes running to me. I am starting to worry that she is really oversensitive. I praise her efforts. This evening was the worst of the tumbling class. She cried and disrupted the class with her crying. The other parents even said, "Good job."
I don't want her to be insecure. My best friend said to just tell her to toughen up unless it's something serious. Tried that, didn't work. I am at my wit's end! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

She sucks her two middle fingers and with the temperature drop recently her skin has become severely dry and cracked on those two fingers. I asked her doc today what I could do for it and the only thing he said was to put gloves on her hand to prevent her from sucking her fingers. Hello??? Does he actually think that a 13 month old will actually keep gloves on her hands? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please don't respond with the same suggestion as the doctor as I think it's about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. My only thought is to put some neosporin on it with a band aid while she's awake. I know when she lays down to sleep she will try to suck her fingers and I certainly don't want her to choke on a band aid.

Well, I lost my mucus plug earlier today, and I've had a few bouts of diarreah since, but now I have horrendous pain in my front left hip that is causing me to not even really be able to lift my leg up. What could this be? I called and talked to my doc when i lost my mucus plug, and she said that as long as I dont have my water break, or as long as Im not getting extreme contractions I dont need to worry...but...with this being my first baby, I'm worried, needless to say. Has anyone else experienced this before so far into the pregnancy?

My 7 year old son came home from school today and told him that another boy had taught him the "N" word. So he asked me what it meant. I told him that it is one of the ugliest words and that it is very hurtful. I also told him that a long time ago mean white people used it to say that about black people. So I have NO IDEA what to say to him and what else I can explain to him how awful that word is. Thanks for any info.

ok, so I'm 38 wks, as of last week dialated to 1, been taking red raspberry tea leaf tablets (2 once a day), inserting 2 even primrose cap every night, and trying to walk 2 miles a day (hard b/c I have horrible sciatica.) Anyways, will any of this help? Did it help y'all? I don't want to go overdue!!!! did with my first, went early with second, butit was twins,then had my 3rd dd at 37 wks, but dr broke my water b/c I was dialated to 4, so he went ahead. This time I'm only a 1 (as of last week.) What else can I do? My husband has to go out of town for work on my due date and he'll be gone for 2 wks, so I'd like him to be around for the birth and possibly the first few days, that's why I'm trying to make sure I have her on time or possibly a few days or a week early. Please don't tell me, to be patient, I've been patient through an absolute miserable pregnancy this far. Tell me what y'all did or if this will help me
