Catherine/Katharine (I can't decide on the spelling)
I love the whole name and all the nicknames that go with it (Kate, Kay, Kit, Kathy, etc.). I think it is a beautiful, classic, feminine yet strong name. Plus think of the extraordinary women named Catherine/Katharine (Katharine Hepburn and Catherine the Great stand out most to me). I have simply always loved the name.

Technically, we're down to two.
Eleanor - fairly self-explanatory, I'd assume. Classic, timeless, but not overused. Plenty of nickname options (Nell, Nelly, Elle, Ellie, Ella, Nora, etc. ... we'd use Nora), making this an equally attractive choice for both a little girl and a grown woman. It ages well, in other words. :) An all-around great name.
Talulla - a less expected option that happens to honor Irish heritage. Separate from Tallulah -- technically, both are considered stemming from the Irish name in the UK, as the Native American root is highly debated -- Talulla is actually an Anglicized form of the Gaelic name Tuilelaith, basically meaning "princess of abundance." Despite being a less common choice, it also manages to be fairly familiar and perfectly in line with other names currently popular (prominent L sounds and an A ending). So it stands out while at the same time fitting in, if you follow. I also love the myriad of nickname options here, ranging from the obvious to the less expected: Tilly, Tula, Lula, Lulu, Lucy, etc. Options are always a good thing, pretty much ensuring a name can and will fit any given personality type. Always a plus. ;)

O.K. So I gave it serious thought and there is just simply no way I can narrow in down to my favourite one. It would mean choosing one over the other, which I can not do. Anyway, I like the elegant and old-fashioned names, and if I'm ever blessed with a daughter (or daughters) I'd be tossing up between:
* Bridie Elaine (pronounced A-laine... the same pronouncation as my grandmother's name).
* Elizabeth Grace (or alternatively Elisabeth, which still retains the beauty and feminity of the more common spelling).
* Charlotte May (May being my aunt's middle name).
* Lois Eloise (Lois being partly due to my addiction to 'Smallville' but also because I think it's a very unique yet beautiful name.
* Martha Rose
* Aubrey Lynne (Lynne being my mother's middle name).

I am a fan of the unique names. Not the totally weird though... Donya (pronounced Dawn ya, as in how ya doing?) Delaney..... I prefer the unique names, just because it allows the child to be a bit different. However, I am not a fan of names like Apple....Sorry, I had to throw that in!

Daphne Margaret. I like it because of the uniqueness of the name Daphne. The Greek myth behind Daphne is sweet and classic. Margaret is after my grandmother, Margaret, and my mother, Margo.

Grace is our daughters name.
We chose it because we think it's is a beautiful classic sounding name.
She can be Gracie-which is what we call her most of the time nad when she's older if she wants something that sounds more professional-Grace.
