The people who answered potassium are on track. Another thing it could be is that you aren't getting enough water to drink. I get terrible cramps in my legs (I'm not pregnant right now though) whenever I haven't drank enough water.

For some reason a tall glass of orange juice each morning eased night cramps for me. I don't know why. I though I was just imagining it, so I stopped drinking the OJ and the cramps came back. If anything else.. it's worth a shot!

in case you're at domicile and can lay down, lay on your lower back and placed a a heating pad or warm water bottle on your abdomen. Drink some tea, and take a pair asprin or ibuprofen. i'm hoping you experience greater suitable hun, menstrual cramps at the instant are not any exciting in any respect :(

I would get them all the time during both my pregnancies.

I found if I just stretched my feet either up or down (I cannot remember which way, but leaning towards downwards) just while lying in bed they would go away immediately.

Just do it slowly to begin with to make sure you are going the correct way, otherwise it will hurt.

bananas, Gator aid, and warm baths before bed. It's always worked for me when I've gotten the bad thigh cramps.

You proberly have whats called RLS - Restless Leg Syndrome, theres not alot you can do about it, except to constantly move your legs, rub where it hurts and change sides alot, good thing though it does disappear after pregnancy.

it can be caused by a vitamin deficiancy i think of potassium and/or magnesium. or by lack of good circulation. make sure your getting a well balanced diet and are taking your prenatal vitamins regularly, and elevate your legs for short periods of time. if that doesnt help your doc may have some suggestions. :)

Well, my dr. told me to eat more bananas, they contain a large amount of potassium, the lack of it is what's causing those cramps.

that's just pregnancy and there is nothing you could do. look at the bright side, only eight more weeks! and after those eight weeks you will have the most amazing reward you could ask for.
