I don't see anything wrong with it. My 6 year old sister didn't take an interest in dolls until I took my son home from the hospital. At the time I was breastfeeding him and she started to pretend to breastfeed her dolls. My family just thought it was cute. She stopped breastfeeding her dolls around the same time that I stopped breastfeeding my son.

Not at all. My niece does the same thing. In her mind she is feeding her baby doll. The same way her mother feeds her baby sister. It's not wrong to breastfeed... If anything it will stick with your daughter that you breastfed and make her more likely to do so when she herself possibly becomes a mother. It's GREAT! If other people have a problem with it tell them she is mocking a "natural" motherly duty! And if it becomes an issue like in Daycare or something like that I would explain to the providers that its only a natural thing for her to copy what her mother is doing. Of course it is not a "bad" thing but you may end up having to tell your daughter that she should only do it at home. It's unfortunate...but other people make something more out of it than it needs to be. But I personally don't think it is bad at all!

Its perfectly fine.
I breastfed my dolls as a child because thats how babies eat. And both my daughters breastfeed their dolls as well. Its saves me a fortune because I dont have to buy bottles for dolls!!! They actually think its funny/cheeky when they do. They'll come and sit on the lounge, get all comfy and sit there and 'breastfeed' and say "look at me I'm feeding my baby".
Be proud that your daughter knows that its natural and normal that breastfeeding is how babies eat.

NO way!!!! Breastfeeding is totally 100% natural!!! My mom and I had a conversation just the other day and she told me that she would catch me nursing my baby dolls...LOL. Let her be herself...no if she was trying to nurse her little friends that would be something to have a talk with her about but no....she is a very smart child. Good for you mom!!!

aww, that is so cute! I used to do daycare when my 6 year old was a newborn, and the 3 year old girl I watched used to 'nurse' her baby when I nursed mine. I think it's as okay as a child pretending to give her baby a bath or a car ride! Have fun! :)

I think that you should allow your daughter to breast feed her baby dolls

it's a normal behaviour for a child her age to mimic what she sees. you should be extra careful with your some of your actions. Kids are like sponges, they absorb everything they see, be it good or bad....

No,not at all. You are feeding your child and that is all she sees. If you fed your other daughter with a bottle she would do that as well.

No. She's just mimicking a natural behaviour. It's not hurting her.
