Hello Moms/dads,

My son is 6 months plus, and he will be flying soon (for about 4-6hrs). So can you please tell me what things I may need to prepare?

Silly question really, but I keep reading the best way to potty train your toddler is to put them in undies so they feel they are wet and have more of a desire to use the toilet. I'm worried what that will do to our carpet though if she's running around peeing on the floor. Anyone trying this method instead of the pull-up diapers have a suggestion on how to save the carpet? Or do you recommend going with the pull-ups even if it might take longer? We're renting, the carpet is a medium brown, lower quality carpet I'd say, and we need to steam clean it before moving out if that helps with answering...

I am getting induced tomorrow and the only person me and my husband trusts to watch our 2 year old son overnight changed her mind at the last minute and can't take him. Does anyone know if hospitals allow you other child to stay the night too in when you have no one else to take your kid? Or would they let me go home the same day , in this case?

My daughter is 5 months old and from the time we brought her home the only way she would sleep was by being bundled/swaddled with a blanket? I have tried to get her to sleep without but she can not fall asleep. She cries for a long time and then just starts playing with her feet or hands. I tried leaving one arm out but this does not work either. She can stay asleep if she happens to wiggle out but cannot fall asleep without being swaddled. What should I do?

To me this is embarrassing but wanted to see if it's normal or not....I was sleeping this morning and started to dream about breastfeeding my baby (im due in 6 days)...however, it ended up in me having an orgasm (and not just in the dream but for real)...when I woke up I was very disturbed and embarrassed. Do women really have orgasms when breastfeeding? Should I feel so guilty about it?

you haven't really done anything? I'm only early on but this is my third baby and I feel so much more tired then I did with the other two and I worked 4-5 days a week then. Its not like I'm doing anything out of the ordinary to feel this tired, pregnant or not!

Anyone else get this and how did you stay awake past 4-5 in the afternoon? I'm getting a good 8 hours sleep at night but just never seem rested.

I have two baby showers coming up in the next few weeks. I have not had time to do the registration thing at the stores. Does that make me a bad person? I'm in the process of moving and all sorts of stuff. I figure most of these people are smart enough to be creative... :)

Can you be pregnant at 3months and not know it?, I can't tell by my period because its irregular. I dont usually take a break every month from birth control ( This is for medical reasons) and i did take a break to see if I would get my period and it only lasted two days. My boyfriend is overseas and so I dont normally take my pill when I should, so when we were togrther 3 months ago there is a slim chance I was not on time taking it. I dont have tender breast and Im not over wheight. I have gained some pounds do to some medication I am on, so its hard to tell by if I'm a bit heavier because of a pregnancy or meds.
Anyways I would assume I would need some tall tale sign by now! Right?

My son is in a foster home due to His failure to thrive Due to a cleft palate & lip. He has a Feeding tube In his stomach also. I want to know If Mormon foster parents also do their fasting & make the foster kids do it aslo. my son is only 2 years Old & has been with the foster family for the whole 2 years & still only weighs 22 pounds. Im not sure If they are making him go through the same thing ( fasting) they do everymonth but If so.. is that safe On a baby that Is supposed to be getting nutrients everyday? & Is it legal to do that to foster children.. I dont think anyone Knows.. & these foster Parents do keep a lot of secrets that we find out about. My son is special needs & I need to know How to help Him. The reason I ask is that many people are offended by a mother not covering up with a blanket. I am not one of those people. I remember when a friend flew in from Norway several months ago with her 8-month-old nursing infant. She breastfed in front of us without covering up, and none of us had a problem with it. I was a little uncomfortable at seeing my former babysitter accidentally 'flashing' me, but I was smart enough to realize that that is MY problem, and my job to look away if it makes me uncomfortable.

I know that there are babies who get extremely fussy or upset when their parents try to make them eat under a blanket--hell, I was one of those babies. So I believe that, as long as she's not lifting up her shirt and actually saying 'hey look at these', a woman's choice to cover up should be just that--a CHOICE. Not one that others try to bully her into making?

Why can't they think of anyone other than themselves? My efforts to teach them seem futile. I'm exhausted trying. They're disrecpectful of each other and of me. They're slobs. They're lazy. They're excessively self-indulgent. They think life is hard, but they don't know the half of it. Do I just hold on till they're out and on their own, and then watch them struggle pittifully to deal with reality, while I refuse to lift a finger to help them? They're 14, 16, and 17 (boy, girl, boy). Could it be that I think I'm trying hard to teach them, but I'm just decieving myself? Do I just not know how? Could I learn how to talk to them to motivate them to be considerate and responsible?

I just need to know will taking insulin to control gestational diabetes harm my baby?? Or should GD be controlled by diet and axcersise and insulin be avoided. I lost my mucous plug today, is it true that you shouldnt bathe after this happens? If so, that is saaad as bathing is the only thing that relaxes me enough to get me to sleep, and I'm allergic to dust so I need to bathe before bed or crazy itching keeps me up. Is this true?

I am 17 and when I have sex I make sure we either use a condom or pull out--pull out more so the case. I am almost 90 percent sure i had a miscarriage about 6 months ago...do to smoking and drinking exessively. but lately ive been wondering if i am just infertile. because it seems like girls get pregnant so easy from having sex even if they partner pulled out? i dont know... has anyone else had unprotected sex but pulled out and didnt get pregnant for a while until they started having normal sex (without pulling out??) im just worried!
