ongoing and inconsolable crying is usually called colic.
When nothing seems to work, take her to the doctor/child health nurse for a checkup and discuss how you can manage the situation. Sometimes it could be a reaction to the formula or something you are eating that is coming through your breastmilk.
Just stay calm, put her down in the crib and walk out for 10 mins if you can't handle it anymore. Take a few deep breaths and have a cool drink and then go back in to her. Bubs will pick up on your anxiousness so stay as calm as possible and book in to the nurse for a talk.
best of luck

letting a baby cry safely in thier crib for ten minutes to vent is the best thing to do. there is no problem with this, i dont know what some of these people are thinking. Colic is real and my daughter has it. it at least three hours a day, three days a week, for three weeks or more. a swing might help, gas drops, or just walking around with baby in the burping position. if you dont put baby down, chances are she wont cry. when you need a break, lay her in her crib or have someone watch her. this usually clears up by three to four months.

Is it ongoing or just at certain times? If not ongoing, it most definitely sounds like colic. The drops do work on some babies, but not all. Other remedies (some old home) that worked for us was grab the left wrist and right ankle and pull ever so gently, then switch. Do this several times. It's sort of like burping. Warm heat on the tummy also may help. It will eventually pass and usually colic completely passes by 6 months of age. Good luck.

My baby did that too until she was 2 months old. Now she is 4 months. Hold her or rock her or even sing her a song..babies love music.
My baby uused to cry around 5 pm so I made her sleep during that time. You baby might be tired or sleepy...
It is not a problems untill she eats well and has wet, dirty diapers.

Have you tried swaddling her? That always worked for my son. Wrap her up tight and rock her, that usually works, if not she may have gas. Mylicon gas drops gave my son instant relief from tummy pains & it's completely safe! Another trick is take your baby for a ride in her stroller or take a walk outside this always put my babies right to sleep. And the fresh air is good for you also!! If none of the above works take your baby to the doctor she may have an ear infection or an intolerance if she's on formula. Best Wishes!

There could be several things going on. The usual suspect is that she just needs comforting. Once all of her other needs are met (fed, changed, not too hot or too cold), try giving her a pacifier, swaddling her, holding her tight, swaying/rocking, and saying "shhhhhhh" in her ear as loud as she's crying. It is better, imo, to hold your child while she is crying than to let her cio on her own. BUT, if you find yourself getting overwhelmed, put her in her crib, close the door and take 10 minutes to regroup before trying to console her. Babies *can* pick up on a caregivers stress and it can upset them more.
GL!! I remember those days like they were yesterday. My baby is now 8 months. Just know it will get better!!

She knows that if she cries you will feed her or hold her. So what you need to do is lay her down in her cradle and let her cry. My daughter did the same thing at two months and I kept picking her up until my mom told me to stop. So I did. Now she barely cries at all. (She is 4 months now)

Don't let that person's grandma near your baby! At 2 months your baby's cries are ways of telling you she needs something. Whether that be a change, food, or just to cuddle. Make sure she doesn't have a temperature and is otherwise healthy. If she is she is probably just tired. Try rocking her gently and quietly. Whatever you do, do not get frustrated as she will be able to sense that.

She may have some pretty bad gas. As babies age, sometimes the develop a gas allergy to the formula they are on. Try picking her up and laying down on an incline with her on your chest on her tummy and pat her on her lower back in a soothing go to sleep fashion. If lower back doesn't work, try on her bottom. The point is to keep her jarring so that any gas she does have moves. If you feel her pooting, then there's your problem. Try giving her some mylicon drops if it is gas.

Are her clothes uncomfortable? Is she too warm or too cold? Does she have a fever, runny nose, cough, etc? If she has none of the above it sounds as though she is overtired or over stimulated. Try taking her in a dark room and rocking or singing softly to her to put her to sleep. Good luck mom and have patience! Sometimes babies just cry, and it will comfort her to know you are there for her.
