Braydon (for a boy)

Bailey (for a girl.)

Okay, well Braydon was the name of one of my old boyfriends who I loved who died in a motorcycle accident, and Bailey does maybe sound a bit like a dog's name.

Another boys name.. What about Macon?
(Pronounced like bacon, but with a m.)

I love the name Bailey for a girl, but I know of about 5 boys named Braydon/Brayden. They are all under the age of 2.

Braydon sounds OK, but it will always ALWAYS seem like you could not spell Brandon - they are too close and Brandon is common, so people will always write it wrong, do you need to send your son out into the world with a chip on his shoulder? ;)
Bailey - is OK, but shouldn't a little girl be able to not have people asking if she is a boy or a girl until she turns 14? At least it does not rhyme with anything cruel, but it is also completely neuter, how about Bailey as a middle name and a nick name but let her have a girl's name for her own?

I'm sorry, I can't stand any name that rhymes with Aiden any more. It's a sweet reason for wanting to use it, though. How about Brennan, Brendon, Broderick, or Bram for a memorial name? They're close to Braydon, but will give your son his own identity. I really don't like Macon because it rhymes with bacon.

I know three dogs named Bailey. Plus, it's a liquor. If you're using it because of it's similarity to Braydon, how about Brenna, Brynn, or Brianna?

They are both over used in my opinion. However I still like Braydon and so does my husband. I teach 2 girl's named Bailey, it is very common where I live.

Bailey is fine....but Braydon....I understand you might be trying to be different....but don't punish a child that way. I find it very annoying when people take a good decent name like Brandon, and decide to change one letter. Plus you also have to think of how make-fun-able the name is....like how will the mean children (and there are always children who will think of rhyme-able insults) make fun of your kid's name....(no offense to gays, but) Gaydon? These are things you have to take into consideration. Good luck with everything!
