Right, so call me weird, but I have always been a fan of girls' names that convert to a nickname that sounds like a boy's name.
I named my daughter Samantha, but have called her Sam for her whole life (her initials actually spelled SAM until she got married a few weeks ago).
I also like Charlotte (Charlie), Veronica (Ronnie) and Roberta (Robbie).
