cold medicine? My son was born almost 3 months early and he has been given these cold medicines since his first cold. The main problem is parents that don't or don't know how to read the dosages. My husband has been out of work since June so we have no health insurance so I can't afford to pay $80 for a doctor's visit for the common cold for our son.

I’m a junior in high school and almost 17 years old. And I am really tired of my parents butting into my personal life. Its my choice if I choose to have sex, not theirs! Its my choice if I choose to stay over at my boyfriend’s house for the night! Its my choice if I want to go out and party! Its not like I’m even getting drunk every night (I only came home drunk once; it was actually the morning after I just came home with a hangover which isn’t even bad. I hate hangovers so I never get drunk now) They’re so overprotective and it seems like I’m always grounded for every little thing I do. I got grounded because I slept over at my boyfriend’s house! I mean, how ridiculous is that! Its no big deal! My parents don’t even know if we are having sex so they can’t just assume! (I have only had it once this past summer was my 1st time) Pretty soon I am going to be going away to college and they’re going to have to let go of me! They need to see that I’m not there little girl anymore its not 1995 anymore, and they need to realize this! It just really frustrates me. I get grounded for every little thing I do! Have a party/go to a party; get grounded! Stay at my boyfriend’s house; get grounded. Go over on my texts; get grounded. Stay out until 12 (which isn’t even late); get grounded. Its like they always need to control me and honestly I can’t wait until I go to college so I don’t have them on my back 24/7. Does anyone else have this problem?

When I go out without my daughters, say I'm going shopping or I'm going out visiting or something I don;'t great I mean I feel guilty for leaving them like I'm a bad mom that I left them but yet I always say I would like to have some "me time" once and awhile but when I get it I feel bad.

I have a friends who has a 3 yr old son. My concern is she is over feeding him. Here is an example. For B-fast she fed him 8oz milk & a banana. She took him to daycare & fed him 2 servings of eggs & a bowl of cereal. The child doesnt stop eating because I believe he has been "trained" to eat like this by mom. When this was brought up the mother said this is normal & this is how he always eats. No-one else in this family eats like this, but mom is determined to make sure he gets "enough" to eat.

My concern is this child may develop health issues down the road.

Any thought?

My baby girl is 5 weeks old and started w/ colic episodes @ 3 weeks. She has been changed formula 4 times and is now on nutramigen, with milk of magnesia in 2 bottles a day for her constpation issues, and mylicon drops w/ every feeding. She did not tolerate even breast milk w/ strict changes to my diet. 6pm-12am (atleast) are the worst and she looks like she is in SO MUCH pain. However, car rides and sitting her in her swing with the vacuum running right next to her will quiet her everytime. So, is she really in pain during these episodes because I would think that if she was, the simple act of running a vacuum wouldn't quiet her. All her symptoms disappear when you do that, but the minute I turn it off she balls up again, turns red and screams. So what gives? I will feel so much better if I knew she wasn't really in pain, but everywhere I read it says colic is caused by gas and it's painful...any thoughts?

my sister is supposed to have a scheduled c-section in 2 weeks because the baby is breached. We've been talking about how weird it is to have a baby without having to go through labour and all that excitement (and pain). By excitement, I mean the moment your water breaks, the rush to the hospital, the contractions, the pushing ect. Do any of you feel "cheated" out of the childbirth experience?

He's 17 and in his first relationship. The girl is polite, nice, and has him wrapped around her little finger. Nothing has happened yet, and I don't want it to. I don't want him to father a child, form permanent ties with this girl, and make getting an education so much harder.

If I insist they break up, they'll still see each other at school. My son will resent my intervention for the rest of his life. What to do?

I have a 5 year old son who wants to cheerlead this fall season. I've notice over the last year and a half that he has taken an interest in girl based activites. He wears his shirts on his head for hair, loves the Bratz and any other Disney female actress. I don't mind him cheering, just afraid at the way people will look at/treat him. What do you think, SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY!

My son is in 1st grade. This week he had 2 yellow lights and 1 red light for things such as yelling out loud in class, not raising his hand interrupting the teacher while she's teaching with things that don't pertain to the subject, arguing with the teacher because he claims she said she was going to read " fun facts first ". He is diagnosed with ADHD not on meds.

Per our therapist we are to make everything as structured as possible so we do our best thru excersises taught to us. We have a chart with a big reward for being good & punishment system per offense.

He's been doing really good up until this last week. We made it clear when he got his first yellow light that he's to stay on green in order to have fun at the party constantly reminding him on the way to school, at dinner, notes in his snack bag & lunch. Well for whatever reason that didnt happen. Now we have to follow thru with what we said he can't partake in the party.

Why do I feel so guilty? I wish I can say ok party.

she's a fugly b***h and if she scratches or hits her again she will make her sorry.
I know the Principal will be calling me tonight about this-yet nothing has been done over the years as I moved both her and my 11 year old daughter (in the same situation) from School to School as they were too timid to stand up for themselves. Personally I'm glad to finally see her come out of her shell-and I refuse to punish her for this-am I wrong?

My friend has a daughter who's 8 years old. she has problems in school following the teachers orders, beating other children, paying attention, etc.... She's been kicked out of one of my favorite childhood teachers class for being a menace. The sweetest teacher too!

At home she throws fits alot. Doesn't follow moms orders. They've been taking her to therapy for the past 3 years but she doesnt talk! They don't know whats wrong w/ her. They diagnosed some sort of A.D.D. case on her but nothings been solved.

I question moms +/- reinforcements and punishments. I don't think she's going through w/ punishments all the way. I watched her yesterday for 2 hours and no joke i wanted to do terrible things to her with a bat. Its awful. im not even a violent person. she doesn't listen, dosn't follow orders, pushes buttons for humor. I swear she's evil. I feel bad for this kid. I wanna help her but i dont know what to do.
