Absolutely nothing.....

He wants to go out, whether a dance or whatever, he has a job and can pay for it himself.

My mom bought my dresses for homecoming and prom but that was it, everything else was on me. The dresses were bw 40-90$. I dont think anyone even had a limo except a couple ppl for senior prom. Pics were my own responsibility and so was dinner. My dates bought my flowers, or I went solo or with friends and didnt have flowers.

But I do know some ppl whos parents spent a couple hundred on the dress alone. I guess it depends on what you can afford and if they have a job.

Let's see, this year:
Dress- $25
Shoes- $20
Dinner- about $10 (a huge group of us ordered Chinese at a friend's house and split the bill)
Hair- did it at friend's house
Tickets- free for me & my date (MAP scholars bonus)

So all total, just under $60 total this year. I think I did well!
