With all that is happening with genetics and Invetro, would you want to be able to pick your childs gender, hair color, eye color, and whatever else that they can do now? WHY?

OK so I really dont like the whole hyphinated last name but the father and I are not together so we thought we should represent both of our familys. It is a family tradition for the first born males in my family to have the middle name Alexander so I would really like to stick with that. It is just so hard for the first name, it is already so long, so it will have to be short I think but I just dont know any advice would be much appreciated:)

This is kind of a continuem of the other post. But I had a sub question of the same topic.

What if it were your 14 yr old daughter that were pregnant and she felt that it was best for her to have an abortion. Would you prevent her from doing so to teach her responsibility? Or would you allow her this and try to teach her from the experience?

She thinks that by me leaving my hair loose I am obviously 'asking for it'. I dress very modestly, a hoodie, jeans and trainers most of the time. My hair is nice, its down to my waist. But is it not just absoloutely irrational of her to have this fear? What shall I say to her? She wants me to put my hair in a plait!! There's no way I'm doing that. Please help.

I got to switch doctors and i'm sooo excited my new doctor sounds great and she's already talking about everything she wants to do next week when i come in. The problem is now i have to call my other doctor's office and ask them to fax my file over to my new doctor's because they are completely 2 different hospitals!!! I had an ultrasound yesterday. Saw sac but no embryo. The doctor said I was 6 weeks pregnant. Is this normal? Has anyone had this happen?

I've read that this can happen and sometimes the baby shows up a few weeks later, if it doesn't happen blighted ovum can occur. This is our first pregnancy so we're new at the whole thing. Any answers would really help. Thanks!!

My daughter is 13 and she has been acting inappropriately at school. For eg. Recently, my daughter came home and told me that this boy in school was bothering her and saying things like, 'I'd like a piece of that' (referring to my herself). My wife (not my daughters real mom) went up to the school to report what this kid was saying and she finds out that my daughter (in the lunchroom) went down on her knees to only 'mimic' (I hope) a blowj*b. This made us both embarrased - of course. Does anyone have any advice on how I should deal with this? I love her dearly and it sickens me to hear this type of stuff about her.

I have a reason to believe that my 8 month old son is being sexually abused. I picked him up at the sitters house this afternoon and I changed his diaper and his penis was really bruised like dark purple. I called the sitter and asked her about it and she said that she noticed it and thought it was from the baby bouncer. I also have a baby bouncer at my house and he plays in it all the time and has never been bruised before. If anyone knows if that's a sign of sexual abuse or if a bouncer or walker could have caused this I could really use some help because I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Her b-day is next week, we have a party planned at the local High School pool, and she passed out invitations today. She got home from school told me her invitations were "all wrong", which they are not, and ran upstairs to her room, barricaded the door, and hid in her closet. When I went to ask her what was wrong, she just repeated her invitiations "are all wrong". (They were fine yesterday when WE printed them up). I asked her what happened, if anything, at school today, if she is feeling alright, if somebody teased her about the party....

She actually had a complete meltdown. I have never seen her like this. Told me she wouldn't go to her party, I can't make her.... this is not my daughter. She is a great child, never any trouble, I can't seem to get anything out of her as to why this has upset her so much, other than "they are all wrong".

Any other suggestions??
