I've been on here for a few weeks, just watching, and I'm in shock.

I am a birthmother who has chosen to place my daughter (8 years ago) and she has a wonderful life with 2 parents who love her and can give her EVERYTHING I couldn't. Yeah I wanted her to have vacations, an education, a family,Her birthfather was a married co-worker who wanted me to get an abortion. He let me know from the begining that if it got out, it would ruin me. (trust me he had connections)

I made the choice myself. I wasn't some nieve little girl who was talked out of her baby. I have a great relationship with her family. She's does thing I dreamed of as a child and she SO HAPPY!!!


I'm thankful everyday that this was an option for us I would have never made it through my residency with a baby at home.
I Would have had $200,000 in student loans and no job.

I find it offensive that all these "advocates" speak for me.

Do any other birthmothers feel the same way

my mom spanked me once in front of my older sister when i got in trouble. she pulled down my pants and then my undewear and spanked my bottom so hard it turned red!! it was sooo embarassing but i wasnt thinking about it at the time when i was over her lap!!! this happened when i was 6 years old. anyone else get spanked or still spank their children this way? just curious, thats all. thanks.

My boyfriends name is Lewis, everyone calls him Lou for short. He is the 3rd and if we have a son he says he wants the son to be Lewis the 4th. I, however, hate this name and do not want my son and my husband having the same name. He says no matter what thats the name he is giving his son. He said if we have a daughter I can pick the name but if it is a boy then it will be the 4th. Is this fair for him to do that ? ? I know it's a family tradition but shouldn't I have a say in it ? ?

I know that we have vaccinations for a reason; to prevent the certain desease to come back, right? Well, for example, Polio, it is pretty much emiminated in the USA, however it is NOT in other countries, so I know that since parents know it is gone here in the USA it can't come back, but IT CAN and that is why we still use this vaccine, because even though it is not present, it CAN come back, so why do people think this way? (And this is for other dieases as well.)

Also, other dieases are showing up more and more because parents are not vaccinating, so why exactly are people against vaccinating, when the diseases are not totally eliminated?

ok so i had unprotected sex the 15th and just got my period the 16th. could i still get pregnant? now i did have unprotected sex twice the 21st and the 22nd and thought i was pregnant cause i havnt felt normal. really dizzy and nausea but never thrown up. also sore breast. but i am pretty sure i am having my period though its not heaviy like it usually is. anyway someone help me if you have an answer or any advice . o i did take a at home pregnancy test the 12th though that might have been to early even if i was pregnant the first time. anyone have ideas please...

I'm not exactly sure whats going on but for a healthy skinny girl I find it strange that she gets hungry so often. For instance she will eat now and stuff her face and then in 2-3 hours she claims shes starving and you can even hear her stomach making noises. She also sleeps way too much. Before if she slept in the afternoon she wouldn't be able to sleep at night but now she just wakes up to eat and she goes back to sleep like nothing. And while she sleeps ill touch her stomach and it feels hard and theres like a small lump but when she took a pregnancy test the other day it came out negative, like is there a possibility that she could be pregnant even with a negative test and the fact that she gets her period? Please reply I'm desperate for answers!!!!

I took Clomid for the first time this cycle days 5-9. I have one blocked tube and one good one. Since we have been trying for 2 yrs now the Dr. said my infertility is unexplained and put me on Clomid. I am currently 10DPO. Yesterday I got a faint + on accu-clear. A few hours later I got a - on first response. Today another faint positive on accu-clear. I've shown the positives to 3 people and they all agreed that there were indeed 2 pink lines...just pale.
