Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, you can take duetDHA (and pretty much any prenatal vitamin) whether you are pregnant or not. Since duetDHA is a prescription vitamin I'm assuming your doctor approves of you taking it since he or she would have had to write you a prescription for you to get it.
If you think you are pregnant, you should keep definately keep taking the duetDHA... prenatal vitamins are important during pregnancy. I took duetDHA before and during my pregnancies.

Everyone who said you can take it before you are pregnant are correct!! I've been taking prenates for 6 months now and am TTC for a second baby (I did the same thing with my first at my doctor's advice), so my body will be prepared for when I do get pregnant. The first few weeks are the most important weeks of the fetus' life as it really needs the folic acid. Folic acid is most important at the beginning of pregnancies, and since most people don't find out that they're pregnant until they miss their period, and by then you are at least 3 or 4 weeks along. They're just vitamins...they can't hurt you, only help you. Unless for health reasons you can't take certain vitamins. If your doctor prescribed them, I would assume they are okay for you.
Take them and enjoy the benefits of the vitamins, even if you're not pregnant, and rest assured that your baby is getting everything he/she needs from the beginning if and when you do get pregnant!!
Good luck!!

It's ideal to be on prenatal vitamins for 3 months before you are pregnant to get your folic acid levels to an optimal level so yes you can take them now if you want.

You want to take a prenatal vitamin throughout your entire pregnancy and afterwards if you intend to nurse.
Hope this helps!

They can be used during and after pregnancy as well as if your trying to conceive. It's only extra vitamins. If you think you may be pregnant you should take them until you know otherwise. Better Safe than Sorry...
