I know that we have vaccinations for a reason; to prevent the certain desease to come back, right? Well, for example, Polio, it is pretty much emiminated in the USA, however it is NOT in other countries, so I know that since parents know it is gone here in the USA it can't come back, but IT CAN and that is why we still use this vaccine, because even though it is not present, it CAN come back, so why do people think this way? (And this is for other dieases as well.)
Also, other dieases are showing up more and more because parents are not vaccinating, so why exactly are people against vaccinating, when the diseases are not totally eliminated?
I vaccinate my child.

Ok, since this might cause Autism, what about US, the older generation? We all got vaccines, so why are we ok? Or are we?

First, it is not proven that vaccinations caused the decline of these diseases. Increase in sanitation and decrease of crowding may have had a huge hand in that. In fact, most diseases declined by 90% before vaccinations were even introduced.
Second, doing a little research into these diseases shows that the media and medical community has done a great disservice to the public. The diseases were greatly hyped up. Example, Polio is 90% asymptomatic. A slim 2% have complications, 1% of that being paralytic. The rest suffer flu like symptoms and recover with no ill effects.
I feel much safer knowing my children have a immune system that has not been tampered with, and that they have not been injected with questionable chemicals that are not tested for carcinogenic and teratogenic properties, or effects on fertility. I feel they are at a much greater risk of having severe complications to the vaccines than if they were to contract the diseases themselves.

It depends on the vaccine and the disease it protects against. The reason we dont vaccinate from the uncommon diseases is 1) they are very uncommon, 2) we have ways to treat them and/or 3) majority of people (in certain areas) have developed an immunity. When it comes to things like Influenza i agree it may be good to give it too young children, greatly aged people, and those with deficient immune systems but for the most part healthy people won't have any problem if they get the disease. In my case, I get more sick from the Flu shot then if i actually caught the flu so personally i would much rather decline it.
Personaly, i don't think it is a lack of vaccines that are making people sick, I think it is our Must be sterile, Dirt is deadly society that is making our immune systems weak.
Might I add also, I haven't had any vaccines since the few that were required in preschool and I am quite healthy. For example, even when others around me , who had been vaccinated, contracted Pertussis (whooping cough), I was fine.

I vaccinated my child as well, but being the "devil's advocate" here... There are additives in some vaccines that have been purported to cause autism and other problems in children. So some people are worried that their children will get sick because of them. They take the chance that their kids won't get the other diseases - or spread them. It's not a very smart thing to do, but vaccinations are optional for the most part.

Ok good for you you vaccinate just like a lot of our population !! I got you thinking and I"m glad to see you are looking for someone to amke you feel that you are making the right choices I don't need that liberation I know based upon my personal research (endless) that vaccines are not for us personally I want more people to look into what is in these shots beforehand plain and simple there is info to say you are making the right choice you will allways be able to ''justify'' this by looking at things from the whole preventing perspective but vaccines are an attack on an immune system!! Many of these illnesses are not deadly and the cdc makes new vaccines like they invented the disease....hmmm..also keep in mind I'm not really pointing out autism but I feel many autoimmune disorders are caused by vaccines as well as allergies and asthma of course not every kid that gets vaccinated is going to have these problems but hey ya never know I can say that I"ve found interesting information on these sites...http://www.thinktwice.com http://www.gval.com http://www.909shot.com I'm not pushing my decison on anyone but at least be informed before just blindly following the leader!! If you research and still feel comfortable vaxing then great I just want people to know there is a choice and as the previous answerer stated many of these diseases were declining before the vaccines were put out and many of them are not deadly ...Is that not what doctors are for IF an unvaxxed child gets a vaccine preventable illness ...btw chickenpox don't kill kids and in the U.S. neither does rotavirus...the riskiest age for sids is in between 2 and 4 months ''couldn't be the vaccines'' 1 more thing what really got me into all of this is MY BABYhad a reaction to the vaccines!!!!!! I was assured that he should recieve his shots and I will never let my guard down again also my sisters friends child was potty trained talking and the works and after getting caught up he was behind on his shots he suddenly stoppe d using the toilet walking and speaking!! I'll take my chances thanks!!

MERCURY!
Many other dieseases are popping up but it is not because of a lack of vaccinations- some ofthem are because of vaccinations. There is a lot more to vaccines that doctors are not going to tell you- you should do some research regarding the real timelines revolving around the declines of certain deiseases and and the introduction of the vaccine.
Many children are now dealing with mercury / heavy metal poisoning directly related to vaccinations and the medical community knows this and still mercury is used in vaccines!
Autism is a disease that is increasingly more common and from my research, I highly suspect vaccines have greatly contributed to the rising numbers

There are many convincing, intelligent arguments against vaccinations. I vaccinate. I hope it's the right thing to do.
There are no actual studies that show that vaccines (or thimerosol) cause autism. There are no actual studies that show that vaccines do NOT cause autism. There just isn't enough information yet.

Apparently there was some bullshit that vaccines cause autisim and other such things. There is no acual study that say this is true!! There for this is not true!! So vaccinations are important at these are preventing your kids from getting a deadly illness. AS long as my children are protected and my family is protected, I don't much care about other parents that don't vaccinate their children, its just stupid not to. Granted I don't want kids sick but have remorse for the parents of children who get may get sick from an illness that could been prevented. I vaccinated my son and will do it to every child of mine!

Quite frankly I would rather vaccinate my child than risk exposing them to a potentially life-threatening disease or worrying about unproven theories. I did hear about the mercury poisoning... (read a pamphlet somewhere) but as far as I am aware that has been resolved...

people who are immune still have it in their bodies, its just not affecting them. so if they do anything to get it on someone who is NOT immune, then they will catch it.
for example: almost everyone has the "Black plague" in their bodies- its a common germ- but since we are immune, the same disease that wiped out half of Europe doesn't have any side-effects on us.
