He'll still drink his bottles, and drinks about 20-25 ounces of his milk everyday. But he doesn't want to eat hardly anything else. At meal time he'll eat only a few bites of food and pushes the rest away. And these are foods he has liked in the past. He's not acting sick at all, he just doesn't really want to eat. Even the gerber puffs which he used to love, now will only have a few and not want any more.

This has been a few days now. Should I be worried that he's not eating enough?

I have symptoms of pregnancy and also have been spotting since the past 3 days. I have had 2 mis-carriages before in my fifth week, just a few days after I discovered that I was pregnant. I do not want to take any chance this time. How soon can I take a blood test. I havent taken a home test yet. Which among the 2 urine test or blood test will be able to give me the results at the earliest? My ovulation days were between 11 - 13th of September.

My very happy, content, bubbly 2.5y.o. daughter has a great imagination and is always playing games with her toys - she makes them talk and play and have adventures etc. (very funny to watch!) Lately she has lots of games where her toys are crying and inconsolable. Sometimes it is Cinderella crying because she can't go to the ball, and sometimes the toys are just sad. i can't really get a reason out of her. She also makes me draw sad, frowny faces whenever we are drawing.

Our daughter rarely cries, herself, because she is sad. Only if she is cross because we won't let her have/do something (typical toddler!) She doesn't have irrational fears, night terrors, hasn't had any major changes in her life, and she has a mum and dad who love her heaps, and give her loads of love and attention.

Any advice? Does she have some deep-seated sorrow that she just can't express? Or is it just a silly phase that she is going through while she comes to terms with her different emotions.

Hey I am a 24 years guy and living alone at present. This girl of 14 years living next door used to come to me almost every day for playing with me. I was also thinking that she comes to my home just for playing. But yesterday, she tells me that she loves me and thats why she visits me daily.

I really went mad. A kid... OMG... I tried to explain to her, but she is little cranky. Cried, shouted and went home back. I am embrassed to talk to her parents too, because, she is still a kid and I do not know how her parents will understand this. How to explain this girl that she is still a kid and ..... I dont know what to tell her. I am sort of work, work, work natured guy and this is the only girl who spends time in the evenings with me, when I am free. I was too happy to meet her as a kid that needs some one to play with.

Please help me, how can I explain to this kid?

My grandduaughter had the sippee cup introduced to her at about 4mths, she is now nearly eight months old and an expert with the cup. At a family function her other grandmother said to my daughter that using the sippee cup was detrimental to her development and she would get "too ahead of herself". I think she is insane and was wondering what others think of this???
The baby only drinks water from the cup.

I am 19 years old and I am working and going to school to become a Dental Assistant. Right now, I cannot find any openings for daycare for my 10 month old son, so he has been staying with my mom who lives 2 hours away. Its been really hard because I miss him so much! He has been staying over there for almost 2 weeks now, and on Fri my mom droped him off for the weekend because I didnt have to work or go to school. She picks him up tomorrow morning and I am devestated. I cant picture being without him for one more day.. I am actually scared. I love him soo much. I know me quitting work and school would be stupid, right??? My moms has been so great, helping me out and all. But, whats a girl to do?? How do I calm myself down? I should be happy that I can get a break from my son, because some women dont get that opprotunity, right?? I am lost and need some help coping with this? Please Help.

My son is turing 11 in 2 weeks. His birthday last year was really bleak because we had just moved to a new town and didn't have a place yet, so we were staying with his grandparents and couldn't have a party. I work full time, but don't have much extra money. I want his birthday to be memorable and happy for him. He is the most polite helpful mature ten year old i've ever known and he deserves to have one good day just for himself. He helps me take care of his younger brother with cerebral palsy every day and he never complains or whines. He helps around the house too. Without doing anything illegal, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get some extra money relatively quickly? If not, maybe some ideas about how we can do a good inexpensive party or something to celebrate? Thanks so much.

My 3 year old son's friends in the nebhiorhood who are potty trained all started teasing him today when he had a wet diaper. It made him cry for an hour. How can i get these kids to be nice? They are terrible to each other.

I am a single dad with custody of the kids. Their mother is no longer involved with them. Went back to court for their mother to have supervised visits only. It was granted. She said that I better take care of the kids because she would not be seeing them for a long time. Her and her new boyfriend are both in trouble with the law for drugs and a lot of other things. After court she was arrested for her warrants. Some how, she bailed out. she called me and told me she was moving to another state over 700 miles away. My babies are 11 and 6, How can a mother just leave her kids? Even though she is not in the best of situations, I guess it is a lot easier to run from her problems. I guess I just don't know how to explain to the kids she will not be around. My daughter still cries for her. What am I to do?

I have a 17 month old baby. He understands everything that is said to him (or almost everything), but all he keeps saying is "didi".When do babies start speaking such that one can make sense of what they are saying? I can make out what he tries to put across, but not everyone can.

what things could I be giving my 6 month old son.
The only things he eats right now is formula, rice cereal or babyfood. I heard that I can introduce him to some fruit juice? Is there anything else a 6 month old could have?

thanks.

I'm O NEG, I've been pregnant 3 times; I have two kids and one miscarriage. I received the rhogam for my two kids but when I had my miscarriage I didn't; now I'm pregnant and I want to know what would happen to the baby if my body already produced antibodies.

hey, I babysit a girl who just turned three (and is learning two languages at a time so she doesn't talk very much yet). Every time she hears I'm coming over she cries, and she starts screaming the second she sees me because she knows it means her mom is about to leave. The second her parents leave and I ask her if she wants to play or read a story she starts to "recover" and has a great time, but I don't want to leave a bad impression on the parents. I don't know any ways of rationalizing with a three year old and helping her to understand I'm just there to play for a few hours and "mommy always comes back". Are there any methods out there I could use to help?? thanks

Okay, I posted a question last... I think Wednesday? about possibly leaking amniotic fluid. I ended up going to labor and delivery, and they tested me and told me that I must've just been leaking urine from where the baby could possibly be putting pressure on my bladder. I left and felt okay with their answer.

Since then, which has been 5 days, 4 nights, I've had THREE dreams about going into labor early. This is my second pregnancy, so it's not like I'm SCARED of labor, so I don't know why I'd be dreaming of it so often.

I had a friend just come over and I told her what was going on and she said that she went to L&D for the same thing when she was pregnant with her daughter. For THREE WEEKS they kept testing her and kept telling her that it was just urine. She said it also felt like her vagina was swollen. (AS DO I, which I told my boyfriend about two days ago)

Needless to say, she ended up giving birth to her daughter 4 weeks early because she was SO low on amniotic fluid

my friend gets beaten up be her dad. he'll punch her really hard in the face for nothing. one time he hit her for getting a problem wrong on her homework. she says it's really common in her family. her mom and sister don't even care. they barely look up, it's so normal. that's really all i know. she's scared of him, like she lives in fear of him. he's really strict with her about grades. she gets in huge trouble for bad grades. i feel sick every time i think about it. it's been going on for at least like 8 months but i think longer, and she says that the hitting gets worse and

but she told me she doesn't want child protective people involved. she says it would really mess up her family, and that her dad might be even angrier at her for telling anyone. she doesn't think the child protective services can do anything. she says that she'll be 18 in 5 years, and she can move out and live her own life without fear of her dad. she says she'll be okay, but it just sucks sometimes.

okay so in P.E. every Friday we swim laps, and now that its fall its starting to get really cold. I have P.E. first period so its really really cold and at the beginning of the year she said we will only swim til like october. Last Friday it rained so we didnt swim but we still had to get dressed out and play volleyball- which was fine. But these like 6 girls in my class didnt get dressed out and my P.E. teacher got pissed and she was like "OKAY IF YOU GUYS AREN'T GOING TO GET DRESSED OUT WE ARE SWIMMING EVERY FRIDAY NO MATTER HOW THE WEATHER IS" so now because of them we have to swim in an unheated pool in the morning while its freezing. its really annoying having to be wet the whole day when its cold since i have it first.

isnt that unfair that we ALL have to swim now just because of 6 girls? how do i get out of it? I really hate swimming and i was dressed and did what she said? should i talk to her? (shes can be kinda scary) please help. i dont really think thats fair...
