It means you are not likely pregnant. They are 99.9% accurate.

Have you had your period yet or are you due soon? The best option would be to wait until your period is due and if it doesn't come then take another test. Some times if you have a test too early it will show a negative result, so if you dont get your period i would try another test, or go to the doctors.

When is the first day of your missed period. If that hasn't happened yet, wait until that day and then do another hpt. If that one is negative, then it means that you are not pregnant. The hpt's are pretty reliable. I did three to make sure they were all positive - I'm 10 weeks pregnant now.

Well...first off, have you missed your period yet? If it's any time before your next missed period, then it's probably not going to be that accurate. Also, it takes some women a little bit longer than some to produce enough hcG for those tests to detect. So, take another one in a week and then if you still think you are, then go to the doctors.

It means you are either not pregnant, or not pregnant long enough for the hormones in your urine to show up a positive. Give it a week and try again.

If it says you are you are
If it says you aren't, then you may not be

mostly it is reliable...you can either try another home test to be doubly sure or get a blood test done to be absolutely sure.
