My 3 year old son's friends in the nebhiorhood who are potty trained all started teasing him today when he had a wet diaper. It made him cry for an hour. How can i get these kids to be nice? They are terrible to each other.

3 year olds should be potty trained by now. All you can do to a 3 year old is to maybe have their parents tell them it's not nice to tease someone because it hurts their feelings. But it may not do a lot of good, it depends on their parents to teach them to play nice.

If he is old enough to realize that he is being teased.. Then he is a smart, big boy that needs to be potty trained.

Take this as a positive thing: He is old enough to comprehend things now, and will be easier to potty train. He can want to to be like his peers, and he also will understand and be excited to grow up and be a "big boy now"

Good luck- Sounds like you have a smart son, I would watch the other kids he is playing with. No kids should taunt and tease. So in no way does this makes their actions right.

If you where there to witness it I would have immediately told them that it isn't nice to tease and that they need to say they're sorry for being mean.
Unfortunately kids are kids and they ridicule anything they think they can get away with unless they're taught otherwise.
Sit down with their parents and explain what happened and then at that point get their imput. If they don't see anything wrong with the behavior I would personally supervise these kids while they're with your son or I wouldn't let my son play with them any longer.
Forcing him to potty train isn't going to fix the issue since teasing is the problem not his potty training status. If it wasn't a wet diaper it will be something else.

Maybe this is the push that your son needs to start potty training himself. Work with him on it. You really cannot reason with a 3 year-old. You could try talking to the parents, but I don't think it will do much good.

How about you potty train him. 3 is old enough to be toilet trained. I know it is very time consuming but it will benefit everyone if you put the time in.
