They just tell you that after a few years it's safer to get pregnant due to your body takes that long to recover after a pregnancy but there are ladies who get pregnant a few months after giving birth. For those who get pregnant shortly after giving birth just have a higher risk of miscarriage and some problems. I gave birth nov 05 and giving birth nov 07 and have had no problems and had a c-section due to baby being breech.

I had a C section for my first birth, now 4 years later I gave birth naturally to a beautiful baby girl. I was told right throughout my pregnancy that there were huge risks in trying to give birth naturally and even being pregnant, but I chilled out and let my body tell me when I needed anything. If I were you, I would just relax more than usual, stay off your feet as much as possible and just generally look after yourself instead of running around after other people. A friend of mine had three c sections, then with her fourth baby (that was due the next year after her third c section, she gave birth naturally to the fourth and was completely safe despite the doctors telling her that she would have to have another c section. So there goes, it depends on your body and how you look after it.
I hope things work out for you, good luck.

You need to talk to your OB-GYN or get a new one. Perhaps there is a medical reason he wanted you to wait.
You need to do whatever you can to make sure your body is in good health...in most cases, this is the reason medical folks suggest that you not get pregnant for 2-3 years, since it generally takes the body about 2 years to recover from pregnancy. Look into pre-eclampsia and see what causes it / how/ whether you can use diet and exercise to help prevent it.
Also, having a C-section does not mean you cannot have a vaginal delivery. It all depends on where / how the incision was made as well as preferences of you and delivery person.

possibly being pregnant again so soon, you may end up having another c-section, just because the scar on your uterus hasn't had enough time to strengthen yet. The best thing you can do is ask your OB your options, I had a c-section 2 years ago due to pre-eclampsia and failed induction, and I believe I am early on stages in pregnancy again, but I was told that if you are going to give birth comming up on 3 years after a c-section it is possible to have a Vaginal Birth After Ceserian.....it also depends on how thick your uterian scar from your previous c-section is as well....I wish you all the best :) hugsss

Your doctor is an idiot. I know women that have kids less than 2 years apart that had to have c-sections. You should be on the safe side and have another c-section, though. A friend of mine lost her baby 3 days after she was born due to uterine rupture during labor. The baby was outside the uterus and without oxygen for too long.

Try not to worry so much you should be okay. My cousin have 2 C- sections back to back because of the same issue your going through and she was okay. Try to relax and not stress the baby. Talk it over with your obgyn and see what they say about it. Wish you the best of luck

There are chances of miscarriage if your uterus has not finished healing, and most doctors recommend waiting at least 1 year between pregnancies after a c-section. Preeclampsia will put you at higher risk for miscarriage and fetal injury.
Take very good care of yourself, relax, and follow your doctors orders.

My friend had her son via emergency c section and 13 months later had her daughter via c section.
Seven years later she had her second son via c section, and 16 months later she is expecting her second daughter to be born via c section!
Good luck - you should be fine!

Just because you had a c-section you don't have to wait any longer than someone who had a vaginal delivery. It's would just be suggested that you have another c-section with this delivery.
