Hey,

i'm 23 and my partner and I split up before our now 10 and a half month baby boy was born. I have access to him every week and am wondering about a few things - hope I dont sound too stupid haha

1) As of last week, my lil man will pull himself up everywhere and stand while holding onto furniture/my leg etc, obviously crawls etc, and says mum-mum, dad-dad and bub-bub fairly well. The question there is does that sound like he's developing well at his age? again it might sound silly but i've no one to really ask..

2) What games/things can I do with him at this age? There isnt alot to do when we arent at home. When at home he has his DVD's/toys etc, but when we're not, I feel like we're wasting time in shops etc as I only have him for 6 hours once a week.

3) What foods can I give him? When his mum packs his lunch, it's always mushed up.. I was wondering that if he wanted to, what else can he eat? He has two lower teeth and one upper just popped thru.

A lot of parents I know are not giving concequences to there children. The kids are aloud to hit, bite, anything and the parents do not give any response to them at all. The kids decide their bed times.

I watched Oprah last week and I'm going to now be forever looking for signs of autism in my baby. :'( I really wish I hadn't even watched. But is it normal for a 6 month old to crawl around and smack the floor or other surfaces, like the bed, or toys? I think he likes the different sounds they make but is this an early sign? What can I do to prevent this?

I just switched my daughter to formula (she's 3 mo) and after realizing she needed soy products (b/c she had loose stools and upset tummy with other kinds) now she hasnt had a bowel movement since in over 24 hrs. Is this normal? Im used to a breastfed baby pooping with almost every diaper change. How often should she go now?

I have been having brown discharge for 3 days now and my period isn't due for another 2 days. I usually get some brown spotting before my period but not for this length of time. I have no other pregnancy symptoms. Am I just getting my hopes up?

I see a lot of mothers using the name "Rain" for their babies. Mainly as middle names and spelled differen't ways. I personally wouldn't use it, but I don't think it's a bad name. Just wondering how it got so popular. Is it going to turn into a middle name like "Marie" or "Nicole" that sounds good with pretty much any first name?

My son is about to turn 12 & he's becoming very stereotypical of a teenager. He tries to be Mr. Class Clown & Mr. Popular. He's more interested in the 15 year old up the street & his friends than he is with school work!

Already this year (since July) I've received a call from his band teacher about how he won't participate, doesn't come prepared, etc. I talked to him & got him to realize he needed to straighten up & he did.

Then I got a call from one of his teachers saying he's not turning in all his homework (he always tells me he does it at school). And now yesterday I got a letter saying he's failing 3 of his classes!

What do I do?!?!?! Ground him for a week? Make him study each night? I feel so blind because I don't know what's going on at school. I have no way of really knowing if he's got homework when he says he doesn't. I feel bad because he was supposed to be held back last year but I convinced the school to move him on. I KNOW he can do this!! Somebody help me?

My son just turned 1 this past Sunday, but everyday for the past 2 weeks he takes his pamper off and "poop" on the floor or wherever he is at the moment. For his bday he got 2 potty's but I havent opened them yet. I need some advice quick... Any suggestions?

I am a Virgin, I havent got far with my boyfriend, he's felt me up a few times, and kissing, when i say felt me up i mean clothed he just touches me, but my period is now 16 days late its never ever ever been this late before, and i have like alllll the signs of being pregnant, is it possible, people keep saying if he like ejaculated then i could possibly be pregnant, and the night before my period was due i was on the floor leaning against him and yeah, im really worried now coz im 14 and i dunno if i am pregnant how my rents will react and i have 3 older brothers 2 in their 20's and an older sister in her 20's that would kill me. I have a daughter named lavendar and i was thinking maybe i could name my daughter another name that is a color (if my husband will agree to it). But is that dumb to give my children names of colors. Lavendar has already been named so theres not much i can do about it we call her laddy and she likes her name.

My husband and i are having our first child together. I have a daughter from another husband named Lavendar. Me and my current husband are having a very hard time deciding. My name is jennifer ann Hall. my husand is thomas. I hate having a normal boring name that everyone has. I always have disliked my name because i knew so many people with it. My husband wants are daughter to have a "normal" ordinary name. but i want her to have a different name something unique. I know everyone will argue that she will get made fun of but i knew a girl named amanda which is a pretty plain name and they still found a way to make fun of that. They always called her "a man duh" As if saying she was a man and then saying duh after it. I am not sure what to call this, but my 14 year old son is allowed to play a game called starcraft, its online game. He was in the main lounge, and another player was talking to him. The player said, hey click on my URL, it shows you new strategys you can use. My son did not did not trust him, the player said its alright, and a few other players joined in and tried to persuade my son on clicking on the URL the other player posted.

It was actually a link to a picture called TUBGIRL, an extremely graphic disgusting picture, and when he clicked on it, it kept popping up until he had to restart the computer. The other players were laughing non stop at him.

How do I prevent this from happening again to my son? He almost started crying and felt very scared and sick.
