i've heard people say "thats a knee" or " there goes his elbow across my belly" or "shes pushing her butt up against the front". mine moves constantly.......i call him "lumpy" because he seems to always be curled up in one spot but occassionaly i will feel something roll across my tummy. i can't tell what it is. and when he "kicks" (only description i can use) i don't know if thats a punch or an actual kick with his foot or a knee or his butt. can anyone really tell what it is thats flipping around? i'm 34 weeks, is it something that becomes more identifiable in a few weeks?

Hello everyone. I go in tomorrow for my 7th month visit, and i'm really having bad back pains, and after work i get really bad tummy cramps, and pains. Can anyone tell me what the doc will do for this, or if there something i can take besides tylenol cause that does nothing for me. also i have my glucose (sp?) tomorrow, and how long does it take to get the results back on that? I'm a bit nervous this time around cause i started off a bit over weight. One more thing on the back pain i'm only 27 weeks, and i know it will get worse, but do they put you on bed rest for that? It's so bad sometimes i can't sleep. Thanks for your help!

also i shave every 5 days chest hair has just started to develop maybe 3 or 4 months ago im 17 1/2 im barely under 5-10 at 17 i was 5-9 my dad stopped growing at 18 1/2 but had a full beard at my age which i dont my moms side has late bloomers meaning her brothers grew at my age 17 1/2 4 or 5 more inches until 21 and 22 2 of my moms brothers are 5-11 and the other 5-8 her parents are 5-3 and 5-11 my dads parents were 6-0 and 5-9 im not sure who i take after im almost 5-10 dont really have much hair really at the inner thigh which i assume is from the groin straight down to the knee groin got hair cnt feel chest hair cnt see it all

Hi every-one I am 7wks.pregnant,and I`m not getting sick or anything yet,but I feel so unwell,I`ve a very serious kidney infection that was treated with very strong antibiotics,only barely got that cleared up and I`ve got a septic throat and badly infected sinus,god `I am never sick,now this is my 5th pregnancy so I`m well used to different upsets in pregnancy,but never like this I also look like I am about 4mths along,maybe it`s because it`s my fifth I don`t know,Has anyone had an similiar complaints like mine,I feel like my body is shutting down hope that doesn`t sound mad.

i have noticed that children have a lot less freedom to go where they please unaccompanied nowadays. my entire childhood i spent wandering about town unsupervised with other children till at least dark. it helped me become independent. i don't think times were significantly less dangerous than they are now. i am not that old. but children nowadays have a lot of supervised play-dates, and i notice significantly less children playing outside unsupervised. why is this? i live in a very safe neighborhood, alot safer than the neighborhood i grew up in.

hubby and i would like to adopt in the near future. most likely, we will adopt a school age child from the foster system. i'm an inner city school teacher and a lot of my children are a part of the foster system or have been adopted, so i am aware of possible behavioral problems.

my question is: we would like to adopt one or two african american children (possibly siblings), and i know we can give them plenty of love and offer them a future that they may not have the chance to have in foster care. my hubby and i are caucasian, and sometimes we wonder how our children will feel being raised by parents who are not the same race as they are (since we will even consider adopting up to the teenage years).

any thoughts? i'm looking for serious responses. are you a child who was adopted by parents of a different race? how do you feel about it?

p.s. as a parent, i would do everything in my power to make sure my children learn about and experience people of all races.

my bub is 7 mths old, and she is teething and waking at night a lot, the only way i seem to get any sleep is to have her in our bed, i was basically chastised by the nurse, saying itll ruin her sleeping habbits for life, that SIDS is a huge risk now, that because she is crawling she will fall and it could seriously harm her because she is tiny.....it made me scared, how can i make it safe? im not getting any sleep with her in the other room and i feel too guilty when i see her crying so hard all by herself in that big cot i dont really have room for her cot in our room she slleps between us at the moment

She said the sound is almost like when a cassette tape messes up and is squeaky, playing fast. She states that it keeps her from doing her school work sometimes and is why she won't sleep in her bed at night. Any serious suggestions on what it could be?

I've always been small and embarrassed that i have no breast i can say they have gotten fuller but no growth will i be able to breastfeed i'm only 18 and this is my first baby i hope he takes it i want that bonding experience but just curious ? i know hes not going to be premie my doctor says he already weighs about 6 and a half pounds please help any advice would be helpful thanks have a great afternoon

My twin girls are 8 weeks today and they haven't started to coo yet. I have a 2 year old and he began to coo at 1 week old. I know all babies are different, but since they were preemies, do you think that has something to do with it??

About fifteen minutes ago my five and a half year old swallowed a coin. It was about the size of a penny (German money that his Grandpa gave him). At first he was very pale and in a lot of pain and I was hoping he would cough or vomit it up, but he didn't. The pain seemed to move lower and now it's not as severe, like maybe it's past the esophogas. But surely something that size and shape can't pass all the way through the digestive system. I've been trying to get a hold of my husband who's helping on a nearby farm. Has anyone experienced this, and what happened? I don't think it's an immediate medical emergency since he's breathing fine, and actually he's acting normal now, but he's still got the coin floating around in his digestive system. Thank you for any advice you might have.

if i took a clear blue digital on sept. 23 and am expecting my period on tuesday sept. 25, do you think that getting a negative test result is pretty accurate? i didn't actually have sex, but i'm just freaking out a little....my clothes stayed on and everything. i know this sounds crazy, but i'm just being paranoid. it's been since sept. 1st that this happened. so do u think if i was pregnant it would show up by now?
