My twin girls are 8 weeks today and they haven't started to coo yet. I have a 2 year old and he began to coo at 1 week old. I know all babies are different, but since they were preemies, do you think that has something to do with it??

My boy started at about 4 weeks. Remember that with a preemie some of the developmental milestones need to be adjusted so if they were born 3 or 4 weeks early they may be 3 or 4 weeks behind on some things. Also being twins means they may have a silent way of communicating to each other and have not felt the need to try and vocally communicate with you yet. Relax, when they start cooing and making noises and then talking you'll be posting on how to get them to stop! LOL

My daughter started around 4 weeks. Every baby develops at a different pace! Give them a little leeway, them being preemies COULD haev an effect, but I doubt it'll be long-standing.

My daughter just recently started. She is 2 1/2 months and she started about a week ago. I would expect it to happen just any day for your twins!

My baby started about 4 weeks. Though she'd have a conversation with my mom when she'd visit. She'd literally carry on like she was telling grandma a story. Only person she'd do that for was my mom.
