Tylenol only. I can tell you now she might have to just deal with the pain because, tylenol never worked for me. Try to make her as comfortable as possible when they occur. Get a cold cloth and put it on the back of her neck, make sure there is not alot of light around her, and tell her to try and sleep the pain off, and don't talk. Talking makes the migraine hurt more. i use to get them all the time. Also if the headaches wake her up at night tell her to make an appointment with her doctor because it could be an indication that she has either high or low blood pressure. Good Luck

I too had horrific pregnancy migraines when I was carrying my daughter. They are often called "estrogen migraines" and are due to the severe change in hormones in her body. The doctors nurse can explain it al to you. They leave you extremely desperate for relief. Nothing over the counter will work for these, it's like taking air droplets. These pregnancy headaches are much too big for anything over the counter and those are dangerous to the baby anyway.
Why have you not called the doctors office?? I called my doctor's office immediately (call the night number if you need to and have them call you back). My doctor prescribed something called Vicoprophen, which does not go through the placenta or into to the baby. It knocked me out for several hours of blissful sleep each time I took the pill. I could not function on it awake, it's very powerful, but frankly she deserves to be sleeping anyway. I only took the pill when the pain came and they were fabulous. Call her doctor NOW and get her some relief. Walgreens pharmacy has 24 hour open locations that he can call the perscription in to. Have that pharmacy's number ready to give the medical professional when you phone.
Best of luck to you both!

Tylenol is the only pain medication she recommended to take while pregnant. But if the Tylenol isn't working, she needs to talk to her doctor, maybe he can prescribe a pain medication that is safe for her and your unborn child.

Tylenol is the only thing I would take.
Call her doctor and ask them before she takes anything else

Tylenol. Anything more than that, she needs to contact her doctor.
