No I don't worry about them once they are asleep but on saying that I've just had a right night with my little one he woke me up at 3 this morning he couldn't breathe so I've spent the rest of the night at the hospital with my other 2 but he's a bit better now he's got really bad tonsillitis and a chest infection, poor little soul, so if they are poorly then no I'm up and checking them all the time.

I have to say that I don't stay up all night worrying over the kids. But I do worry about them and the choices they will make. I have a hard time going to sleep for worrying over our future, my husband has leukemia and at times worrying gets the best of me. How will I support my family, will we have to move, do I have enough money for oil this winter. It seems like small stuff but night time seems to make everything overwhelming.
Since my children have been infants I haven't slept deeply. I hear everything, wake up over everything as I result I am tired, I look tired and feel tired. I have lost a lot of weight until people are mentioning I am the one that looks sick and my husband is the healthy looking one. If there was a button I could switch off, I would. Good luck .

Now that he's sleeping through the night we don't have that problem, he's loud enough if he has a problem he's not going to go neglected for long. But it was tough back when he was waking up at random, and you sat there and looked at the clock and calculated how IF he didn't wake up again you could get so many hours sleep, but you knew he was going to! Also when he was little, if he did go to sleep easilly or fo a long time, I had to go check to see if he was breathing before I could sleep

Oh man, I would love to have a switch off/on button on me, but I just can't seem to totally come to a relaxed state when the kids are asleep.
I think I'll have some chocolate before going to sleep myself. I know, I know, it's not something that is a good idea before bed, but hey... it makes me feel better. ;)

I have a three year old. I don't think I ever fully sleep. I am awake at the slightest noise. I have heard I will never sleep again and I tend to believe it. I can't imagine how much harder it will be when she is older and not in her little bed..and she is out...Hopefully, by then I will at least act like I can let go. lol

Nah, I put my son to bed and I lay awake thinking about all the stuff I have to do. But thats about it.
I've always kept him comfy and let him finish the night in my bed after the sun comes up, so we sleep in until 8-9 every morning.
It took some doing, and alot of tweeking as he's gotten older, but its well worth it to get to sleep in.

somehow i have learned to sleep selectively. my husband is able to hear all the noise that goes on outside while u cd cart me off and id never know. but if any of my kids so much as drops their blanket on the floor i know exactly which room to go to. they can turn as normal but my antennae picks up on anything that is 'out'. meanwhile my husband hears nothing short of a scream from them.
guess thats my special gift otherwise i wd be a zombie from too little rest

Do to things that happened in my past when my son was born he slept in the bassinet beside our bed and every hr. or two I'd wake and check his breathing. I knew it was crazy but I couldn't help it.
He's grown now and I still check to make sure he's taken his medicine. If he's not home by dark & hasn't called I panic. I've given him roots but those wings are still in the making. lol!
Believe it or not if I pass by his room I'll still glance in and if it looks like he's not breathing I'll touch him. Sometimes if he forgets a med & it's too late to give it I'll wake several times during the night to check him. It drives him nuts.

I don't sleep as soundly as I used to. I wake with every little noise she makes and she's in the other room and I don't use a monitor.

Take a hot bath and relax. The kids are sleeping. Time to turn off and go to bed!
