my mother in law says not to take him the pool, but he loves it, it is not a public pool so there are no nasty germs from strangers and the clorine doesnt bother his skin...have you heard anything about not taking infants in a pool? (he is seven weeks old).

Is it "normal" for a woman like me who has always had regular periods to have one of her periods late, and be lighter, and on and off for 6 consecutive days. Could it be a sign of pregnancy or just something ubnormal. (Note: I was having unprotected sex for the last 2 months, I'm also taking a preg test at a clinic today, but I'm trying to avoid it because I'm nervous to go).....

I'm 13. I'm in 8th grade at a TINY private school. All the girls here in 8th grade are skinny, blonde, and their hair is always straight and long and boring and they all wear A&F, AE, etc. All the girls have the same taste in music, and out of about 16 girls, 10 of them are cheerleaders.
I'm 5'4'' and I'm a little overweight, but I have curves. I have SHORT red hair, my style is punk gothicish and I'm into metal, and rock. I've already been labeled a lesbian and feminist. There is only one girl I've really connected with and I only have one class with her.
I have really low self-esteem. Being around all these girls that turn their nose up at me isn't helping. I feel like an alien. I don't know what to do!

My manz and I have been together almost 3 months on the 10th of september Im pregnant...and they told me yesterday when I had a ultra sound...that I was 12 weeks and 5 days old. I was raped by my stepdad!. I met my boyfriend the 10th of june and got my period is there any way they made a mistake how far I am. Hes being so quiet he knew there was a chance it wasnt his b.c of my stepdad..but wat should I do?

hey ... starting today it is painful to walk (fine while sitting)....my pelvic area and above have been painful to even take a step ...but as i walk it is not as bad as when i first start....what could this be? I'm 37 weeks prego and dr said head is WAAAY down. *(maybe just the extra weight?or could it be things starting in early stages)??

Usually my girlfriend and I will be in her room with my son Carter and we would do anything to make him laugh but the thing is we always have to do something. When her parents come in his eyes just get brighter and he gets all giddy and starts laughing but yet all they do is either look at him or just talk to him. I was wondering why is he laughing more at them than my girlfriend and I? Is it because he sees us all the time so when he sees someone different he gets excited? It only happens when they come into our room standing at the door but when they take care of him he comes back to normal. What is the reason?

Mine is wearing to different shoes out in public.. I couldnt see my feet. Lately at night I feel like little fingerprints out of nowhere about three at a time, or around 1PM for the past two days. I don't know if its all in my head or if it's the baby. Is it possible to feel the baby, and why can i only feel this at certain times?? what is this?

....is driving me crazy. one day, she's happy, helps out around the house, gets her homework/chores done without being told, is nice to her younger siblings and plays with them, actually listens to me and we talk and actually have some pretty good deep deep down conversations. then, the next day it's like every body is out to get her, she fights till the end about doing her homework, screams and fights with the other kids, and we get into yelling matches, she doesn't listen to me at all. the next day, all happy and smiles. i mean, what's going on? I'm a single father and teenager girls are something new to me (i only had brothers growing up and didn't date till after high school), but still is there anything i can do that will get her and me on the same page? thanks.

I am unsure whether my feelings are irrational or whether I have thr right to be a little upset here, so....

I have a partner of four years and we have on occassions talked about what we would call our children if we are to have any in the future and a name we had both always loved for a little girl was Amber, as it is a pretty name and you don't hear it very often. We also thought that as my boyfriend has red hair, our children would be likely to and this name would suit a little girl really well.
My partners best friend and his girlfriend were planning to call their daughter Neve and in a discussion my boyfriends friend asked what names he liked for children and said 'if me and hannah ever have children we would call our daughter Amber'.
He thought nothing of it and recieved a text message today saying 'we have had a baby girl and have called her amber neve' which has upset me as he has basically taken our name and used it as his own, knowing we loved the name and planned to...

My 10 month old daughters name is :
Camberlei Angel Dannyella (Danny is her dad's name, and Ella, Is from Luella (My grandmother that passed 2 years ago).

My 29 month old sons name is : Gage Isaiah Hinton (Hinton was my grandfathers name, that passed when I was a small child).

It seems everyone I come across, Doctors, Nurses, people in stores..etc...Think my children have THE oddest names..

My 2 1/2 year old is not big on veggies. She eats corn, tomatoes, butter beans (sometimes), but other than that, there are not too many veggies I can get her to eat. It doesn't help that my husband won't touch a vegetable (he considers mashed potatoes and mac n cheese veggies). Is there any way I can encourage her to try new foods? Right now, I'm settling for sneaking veggies into her (cooking carrots and mashing them up in spaghetti sauce, for example). But, I want her to "openly" eat veggies. Any advice?
