Usually my girlfriend and I will be in her room with my son Carter and we would do anything to make him laugh but the thing is we always have to do something. When her parents come in his eyes just get brighter and he gets all giddy and starts laughing but yet all they do is either look at him or just talk to him. I was wondering why is he laughing more at them than my girlfriend and I? Is it because he sees us all the time so when he sees someone different he gets excited? It only happens when they come into our room standing at the door but when they take care of him he comes back to normal. What is the reason?

my baby does the same thing. he loves my grandma so much! all she has to do is say hi to him and he starts kicking and laughing. i thnk that all babies go gaga for their grandparents because they are the next best thing to mommy and daddy. plus, like you said, they probably don't see them every day and her parents most likely spoil your son rotten (which is not a bad thing). you should be happy-this just means that your son and his grandma love each other very much!

It's because parents do all the work and grandparents get all the fun.
