I know just what you are talking about, I actually just went to get that checked out yesterday because I was unsure of why I was in so much pain. I am 25 weeks pregnant and started felling that pain 2 days ago. I am actually very fit and still go to the gym at least 2 days a week so I really don't think that has anything to do with it, I even thought thats what was causing it!!...lol Anyways, I ended up having to go to the hosp. wher I am delivering because my Dr. was in surgery all day. After they examined me and everything checked out they said (in a more medical term) that basically, it is because I am tiny and my insides are being stretched out more than they ever have before. They suggested to me that I should get one of those pregnancy belts, I am not sure the exact name but they have them at baby's r us for like 25$. They said that will help relieve that pain as well as any pressure of your back.
Hope I helped you, GOOD LUCK!!

The less fit a person is before they get pregnant the more they feel this pain and th soon er they feel this pain (more than one pregnancy also feel it sooner and more strongly as well)
It is normal!
Warm baths help a little before bed - they relax you so you are more relaxed - but during the night it will be painful to roll over, sit up and to stand (i find stairs can aggravate especially later in the day)
You can take Tylenol to help with the pain - but nothing stronger. You may find putting a pillow between your knees/thighs helps at night a little.
Good luck - keep in mind only a few weeks left..and the discomfort is well worth the prize!

During the last stages of pregnancy the body produces a hormone that tells all the tendons to loosen up so that you can push the baby through your pelvis more easily. This causes that kind of pain you described. I had it, too, and it was no fun.

I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and everytime I get up from sitting or laying down my hips hurt soooo bad. My mother tells me it's my hips spreading. I take a tylenol and it helps a bit. Mine usually last majority of the day so I do sit alot. My mother's old wives tale is b/c I'm having a boy is why my hips are spreading. Just something fun to play with.

It sounds to me like you are in the early stages of labor. If I were you, I'd walk as much as I could stand it. It really does speed things along, and, in the event you have to have a c-section or an episotomy, you won't be walking much for the week or so afterward, so you'll enjoy that you got the chance beforehand.
Good Luck, and I hope everything turns out well for you and baby.

I had the same pain when i was pregnant with my daughter its called pubis pelvic pain. It hurts when you walk really bad at times. I found it even hurt in bed when lying on my side hot water bottles helped alot to ease the pain. Take this opportunity to rest and put your feet up.

Your kid is causing pressure, your muscles/tendons/ligaments are all stretching to prepare for the birthing process and your body is fatigues from 37 weeks of change and strain. The more active you are, the less pain there will be during child birth.

It's the baby. And it's normal to feel pelvic pain and pressure.
I've been feeling it since 32 weeks and I have a waddle...fun times.

Sounds like a lot of pressure in that area due to the position of the baby. If walking makes it hurt more, don't walk as much. Sounds like you are almost ready!
