A request like this is a request for a talk with you .
!3 is quite old to be requesting a younger child's toy.
Is your son trying to start a conversation about sex and sexuality with you ?
Schedule a nice uninterrupted time to have a conversation BUT
First make it clear in your own mind how you feel about some of the subjects that come up.
Be prepared for 13 year old concerns IE
masturbation
homosexuality
porn
sex for the first time etc.

a G-I Joe, but a barbie doll...i donno..thats a little much for me. now maybe if he was younger but by 13 he knows boys dont play with dolls..13 is when they play sports and play outside or play video games, dolls that should end by at least 10

3rd-- IF he says he justs wants it for fun-- You never know if he is lying.

My little brother got a doll for Christmas when he was four. He has three older sisters, and children learn by example.
I would get him one, but would explain that this is a bit unusual, and that it would be better if his doll stayed in the house.

you should ask him what else he want and give him something else also ask him why he likes barbie dolls he might turn gay in the future

Maybe, He's intrested in What a girl looks like with their clothes off and Barbie is the closest thing he can think about right now.
I'd do it and just monitor him.
