Pregnancy & Parenting - 31 August 2007

OK I have told my boyfriend the possibility that I may be pregnant....(I know I am, just testing waters..)....anyways he said to me....'Oh i wouldnt be ready for that kind of thing....its just not the right time'. We then said if I were that he would want me to have an abortion. He said he would be there when i get it to give me support.

Option (1): Do I just say im going to have the baby and thats it...with or without his support.....and jeoprodise our relationship...have the love for & from my child, but without my boyfriend, with whom i love deeply.

Option (2): Listen to reason and perhaps have the abortion (which i would hate myself for doing).....possibly end up resenting him.....and who knows 3 years down the track we could break up and then I would be 30 yrs old...with not much time on side to try for a baby...

Im so confused....i try to reason with myself....just cant keep a clear head.

Just wondering if people have been in similar situation....and what was the outcome?

i had my preiod on the 7th aug and was spotting on the 23th could this be pregnancy

But for de past 5 days r so i haven't felt anything. i went 2 my GP yesterday and he told me because he a nothing 2 listen 2 my babies heart beat with he couldn't tell me 4 sure if everything is ok. i'm goin 4 my first scan on wednesday but i can't stand even a few days more not knowing anything. Has this ever happened 2 any of u? Have i lost my baby? I really wanna know what u people think please help!!!!

This is my third baby - you would think I would know the difference, but I am beginning to question myself -
My stomach (uterus) is tightening up like a basketball staying that way for maybe 30-45 seconds and then goes back to normal.
The feeling is not painful, just uncomfortable. With my previous two pregnancies, I had preterm labor that I think felt similar to this, but when I was in real labor with both of them, it felt like this too! I have never felt a true painful contraction, I always have my epideral by the time the STRONG contractions kick in.
How many would be considered ok in an hours time???

While reading The Robber Bride (Margret Atwood. Read it, its good :)) she mentions something about left handed people possibly being one half of twins, one of whom died before birth. Is there any evidence to support this theory- macabre but interesting to a left handed person like myself!

I stopped growing when I was 10 (I'm 23 now). My doctor said I imagined it and that I would have still been growing after, even though I've been measuring myself at the same height every year, so noo I did not imagine it.

Anyway, I know that the normal age for girls to stop growing is around 16-18, so why did I stop so early?

I just found out that im having a boy and i was wondering if any one could think os some good brands of clothing....
Nothing like the gap or childrens place, i would rather not have my baby in trains puppys and footballs....at least not after 6 months but ya.......any good brands? an example would be whatever the brands are at hottopic and spencers and something like quicksilver and also some skate brands

Does this happen to anyone else? I am almost 8 months pregnant and my baby girl is very active, but as soon as I tell my husband or anyone else to come and feel , she stops moving!! So far no-one except me has felt her move, it's like she knows when someone else is coming to have a feel!! I'm sure my husband thinks I'm making it up!

I really want a kitten...I have a 3 year old child already and am expecting another in Spring...I have always wanted a cat but this is the first place we have lived in with a garden and so have never gone for it before. Is there anything else I can do to get this ball rolling? I had a sweep of my membranes by my doc yesterday and lost my mucus plug today. My midwife suggested a cohosh tincture, but it makes me throw up and sex isn't working out...any ideas...I am small framed and the baby is already 10 lbs!

ok so i felt this urge to be sick so i went to the bath room and i just kept dry reaching it felt as though something wanted to come up (sorry tmi) but didnt it happened just after i ate something and now i still feel a bit yukky i am ttc and have other symptoms aswell af is due 3rd sep other symptoms are headaches dizziness cramps sore boobs and nipples tossing and turning all night (cant sleep) although i will be awake for like 8 hrs an i want to go bk to bed ive been feelin nauseas and some hot flushes. i think i am 12 dpo

I'm terrified of giving birth, but I absolutely want children, how do I get over this fear?

I'm a big huge baby when it comes to pain. but I don't like the thought of an epidural, I don't really want one.

Is it the contractions that hurt the most or your child coming out? [Please don't say these are dumb questions, I'm not a mother, I've never had children so I do not know.]

Any advice about the birthing and labour process or anything?? and how to get over this fear? please help!

I am trying not to get my hopes up too much, but i was suppose to start my period on the 30th, but still havent. My period is hardly ever late. I felt like i was going to start but never did. Now i am having these awful pains in my side and stomach. I took a pregnancy test today just for the heck of it and there was a real faint negative line, not dark at all. I am thinking that it was maybe too early or....maybe i am just late for my period.
I had a pap smear done last month and it caused my period to come 2 weeks early, but it should be back on track now.
I want a baby so badly, but dont want to get my hopes up. Anyone have any idea of what could be going on with me?

My son started first grade this year. He has been in school one week. I have already had two "behavior problem" notes sent home to me... For talking, clowning, not following directions, and the most recent thing: saying a "cuss" word h*ll.... :/

We had a few problems in kindergarten because he's such a happy, goofy boy. I know he's just being a kid, and I think it's wonderful that he's so happy, but I'm REALLY having a hard time nipping this one in the bud...

I don't really know how to deal with notes. I mean, the moment has passed since he got in trouble at school, so I almost feel weird about punishing him...

Also, what should I do to enforce behavior changes? I mean, I can take away his TV and video games, but he doesn't really seem to mind that too much. He just finds something else to do...

I'm just frustrated. I want him to succeed. He's SO smart and he's doing acceptionally well with the school work. He's just got behavior problems. Thanks for any advice.:)

Up until I was 14 years old I had a dad. Im 16 now and don't need him. Well, for 14 years he did anything and everything to hurt me. I still have the marks on my body from the abuse I suffered. Including several scars and burns. Well, I need to know how to get over this abuse. My mom never knew about it so im not just going to bring it up. Plus, she would just say that I wanted attention. I really want to forget about everything but I dont know how.

I'm having a discussion about the "right" way to play Pat-a-Cake.

Do you clap on each beat of the song:
Pat- (clap) a- cake, pat (clap) -a-cake, bake- (clap) ers man (clap)

Or do you clap on each syllable:

I am a little confused about what to do? My 4 month old son always starts crying when my husband picks him up. I know it really hurts my husband's feelings and I just don't know what to do about it. My son is really attached to me a lot and my husband is in the military and was away for a while, he also works long hours and isn't home enough to really bond with him. Has anyone else ever experienced this and what can I do to help the two bond better? I have tried showing my husband ways to comfort him and to calm him but my son has his own mind that he wants mommy only and nothing to do with daddy. Tips with an experienced parent who has been through this would be appreciated!!!!
