My girlfriend has had a experience very very close to a period if not a period since the 25th of august and its still going on. She says it feels like a period, looks like one, and etc. We were worried that she could have been pregnant. Is it possible to get symptoms like this while pregnant?

It could be she suffered a miscarriage. Miscarriages can mimic periods, especially when they occur very early in the pregnancy. They typically cause heavier bleeding than a period and they are more likely to be crampy and painful. I had one of these occur almost 20 years ago where I had a period last more than a week and it was crampier than usual. I talked to my doctor about it and she said it probably was a miscarriage. I have never had a period like it before or since.

Oh come on, don't try and scare the guy with the miscarriage thing. It's her period, man. Get used to it, also get used to getting yelled and and apologizing for doing nothing wrong.

Dear Friend, It is likely that someone will get pregnant or share a disease when two unmarried people tempt themselves by being alone with one another. Please take good care of your girlfriend. Please encourage her to visit her doctor. You can also get support and information at a pregnancy resource center, which you can find by googling optionline, or call 1800afamily. Please remember, babies are for life. Sincerely, Runner
