My 10 month old daughters name is :
Camberlei Angel Dannyella (Danny is her dad's name, and Ella, Is from Luella (My grandmother that passed 2 years ago).

My 29 month old sons name is : Gage Isaiah Hinton (Hinton was my grandfathers name, that passed when I was a small child).

It seems everyone I come across, Doctors, Nurses, people in stores..etc...Think my children have THE oddest names..

What do you think?

Thank you so much to everyone that has given their opinion so far.:) Positive and negative, alike.
I love my babies names, As they all have a meaning to them, I just wanted to hear 'why' people did/did not like the names, or why you think it's odd. :)

And Gage, Yes, I've noticed it being used more and more. I thought he would be the only one in his class.. :( It doesn't look like that will be happening, Lol.

The only one I find "different" is Camberlei.
One of my children's name is Siobhan (pronounced Sha-vonne).
A lot people have trouble with that and think it's very strange.
Only in America! It's a rather common Irish name. Just as Joan or John is here. In fact it is the Irish version of the American name Joan. Siobhan is the "feminine" of John.

Your children's names are fine. Like another poster said, it may have something to do with doubling up on the middle names.

I've seen so much worse, especially with so-called creative spellings. Those are the ones that drive me crazy, the people who take average names and change the spelling so bad it looks like an alphabet tornado!

Honestly....Gage seems to be coming into trend. I'm beginning to see it more and more, mostly in young babies.

Camberlei, I have never heard of. It does seem kind of odd, but not in a bad way. Just because its a new name.

If you are happy with your children's names don't worry about what others think. We are naming our daughter Mandalynn, some people love it others hate it. Everyone has their personal opinions, don't let them bug you!!

When given all three names (plus a fourth last name) I can see why people might startle. People are so used to having a first, middle, and last name. Period. No deviations. I would love to have given my kids two middle names, but my husband said no way.

Aside from that, Camberlei is one I haven never heard before, but sounds very pretty and feminine and I can pronounce it even without hearing it said to me. I know lots of boys named Gage. It's also very cute.

So my guess is that it's the double-middle name that's throwing people off.

The boy's name isn't too odd, but the girls name is a bit of a mouth full. Imagine when they get to school and start trying to spell their names! And EVERYONE is going to pronounce it incorrectly.

But if you like them, it isn't a problem. Baby names are getting out of hand with their pretentiousness lately, so by the time they grow up, their names may not even be considered odd.

Also, have you thought about the fact that most forms (applications, S.A.T.s, standardized tests, etc...), won't have room for all of those names?

I like them. Besides, they are mostly just gonna be Gage and Camberlei to most people. Don't listen to PLAIN people :)
My son has 2 middle names too.

Gage Isaiah Hinton flows really well, and is not weird at all. Camberlei...well...its um, definately different.

I don't think they are SUPER odd. But they are definately unique. I know I'd get caught up on your daughters first name. But your sons name actually seems rather tame. I have a cousin named Gage.

I wouldn't worry about it. You put thought and meaning into their names.

I think having out there names is good it creates a unique personality at a young age. But movie stars go way to far in my opinion.
