YES. In ANY state it is illegal and is seen as a crime under the eyes of the law. I'm sure you "love" him but beleive me, I would try to keep that sort of info undr wraps or else you could be getting him in a lot of trouble.

Even if it is illgal you shoulnd't be concerned with sex until you have been with someone for more than 2 years - you are confident they are not with anyone else, you are able and stable when not within there company (in other words you still have girl friends you hang out with without him) you have a life outside of your relationship, a job, a hobby a sport or event you are involved in (sports or music or dance ect.)

Sex is not a way to make boys stay with you, it is not a gift you give fruitlessly to any boy who pays attention to you,

It is a scarred right to say NO until you are married or atleast in a really commited relationship (2 years or more..3 months is not even close to being commited for all you teens out there)

As for age - 2 years is not a big deal (personally) the big deal is that how a young girl percieves a relationship and how a guy percieves it are totally differnt - guys will in late highschool/college make bets to see who can sleep with the youngest girl, or how fast or even play and sleep with many young ladies they see it as a trophy count...and how would you ever know if that is what you are..unless you make him wait and prove that it is a real relationship and love between you two ..not just a game or a passing of a momment for an extended period of timw (again at least 2 years)

I don't know what Kansas law is but I would think so. Focus on school not boys or sex for that matter. At 16 you don't understand the consequences until it's too late. At 16 I was already a mother struggling to finish high school on Welfare. Is that what you see for yourself. Don't be convinced about being in love.

It's not true that it's illegal in every state. Different states have different ages of consent. In Kansas, the age of consent is actually 16, so it should not be considered statutory rape for you to have sex with an 18 year old. http://www.coolnurse.com/consent.htm

SOME STATES HAVE CHANGED THEIR LAWS FROM 18 TO 16 , AND IN SOME CASES ITS ONLY IN A 5 YEAR DIFFERENCE SAY 16-21

Yes it is illegal. If you're parents found out they could press charges against the boy even if you don't agree. He could also end up on the sex-offender registry for life. It's not fair, but that's the way it is.

Its called "Statutory" rape, which essentially means that the state does not believe one is old enough to consent to engaging in sex until he/she is 18 years old, therefor, it is a form of rape until everyone is 18 or older.

No...it is considered statutory rape because anyone 18 and older is of age!!! Been there and done that, if your parents found out they could press charges without your consent even if you did it willingly.
