I'm 13 and having a sleepover with my friend (she's about 12 and a half) tomorrow night.
I've known her for only a few months... does anyone have some suggestions for things we could do for fun at the sleepover (that don't include makeup or swimming)?

Thank you!

When my daughter has her friends over for the night they normally start off by watching a film - normally a rom-com - and with a lot of nibbles - nachos, crisps, popcorn - and lots of fizzy drinks. Normally they get really hyperactive and start giggling, laughing and basically having fun. If you've only known your friend for a few months, get to know her better.

I have a friend whose daughter is around the same age as you. She always complains of a lot of noise and giggling when her daughter has a sleepover. She gets up to the stereotypical things like putting make up on each other, painting nails, watching films, talking about boys...They also prank their friends by giving funny phone calls. Not that that's something I should encourage anyone to do.

My daughter and her friends spend a lot of time chatting. She's not quite as old as you, so maybe you two will have lots of gossiping and catching up to do. If you have a play station or x-box or anything like that, you could play games together. Or, be more creative and play a game like "guess who I am". You each write a celebrity's name on a piece of sticker and sick it on the other person's forehead without showing it to them. Then ask in turn yes / no questions and try to guess who the other person is.

I'm sure everything will go fine - one she arrives and you get into the swing of things, you won't need to have planned various activities as you'll probably just go with the flow.

Good luck!

You can bake food like cake or cookies and then eat it while watching a movie. You can also give each other facials and paint each other's nails. Play truth or dare. Instead of just having one person over for a sleepover, maybe you can invite a couple more people because then it'll be more fun and everyone can feel more comfortable.
