I really like these names, Alice, Edward, Isabella, Jasper, Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie. Are they too weird? Please be honest. If they are too weird, I also like Charlie, Jacob, Angela, and Renee. Some of them will be middle names. Please be honest! Can you tell me what should be the first/middle names?
(I'm not pregnant or expecting to be any time soon, I just want to think about what I might name my kids when I do get pregnant.)

Andrew Joseph

We need Joesph to be the middle name (dedication to family member), and like the first name to be with an A, so kiddo could go by AJ. Thanks!

Ok, here's the deal. I'm 16 years old and i have mixed feelings about drinking (as in alcohol). I'm a christian and so i've been taught that drinking is wrong. but nowhere in the bible does it say that. it just says not to get drunk. either way it's still illegal for me to drink because i'm underage. my parents drink a little bit. you know a glass of wine occasionally when they get home from work, or a beer with grandpa and the uncles over thanksgiving weekend. sometimes when my family is with my grandparents and we have a toast or something on special occasions, they pour me and my brother(18) and sister (20) a glass of champaigne or wine too. i don't prefer the taste, but i drink a little bit anyway. the adults (my parents and grandparents) told us that as long as we were with them drinking a little wine we were okay, but to never do it anywhere where they aren't around (i haven't and i never will). but is it still okay when i'm with them. is it still a sin or "illegal". please help?

As the Mother of three I know that I am not always going to be perfect.. If I am being honest my kids don't brush their teeth everynight, I don't always read to them at night, I sometimes yell, I don't always make dinner sometimes it is just PB & J sandwhichs, the laundry is hardly ever done, I might spend a little too much time on the computer, etc.. the list goes on and on..

I just wonder if other Moms or Dads can be honest enough to admit your imperfections. I actually struggle a bit to admit these things, I think soceity has painted the June Clever picture for so long we have a hard time dealing with the fact that we are not perfect.. What are your thoughts & your faults??

There's a penguin, moose, and hippo, so what on earth is Uniqua? She has pink dots, antenna, and a twirly tail. She has no snout so she can't be a pig, and they don't have antenna??? She's not a bug, she only has two legs. It's driving me crazy!!

What do I do? I mean this needs to be known. I know they will deny the possbility- well they did, anyway a lawsuit sure would bring it public. Money would be helpful to anyone but I don't have to have it, I am not trying to scam. They can keep the money or give it to charity.I want them outed. with out the heat the issue would never be addressed. I am already a huge phobic, bacteria, germs, dust...have days i can't go outside. Laundry hits the floor I have to wash it again. I am the last person that needed to find such a thing; I already had issues with formula anyway. Help...what or who is the best way to expose them?!!!

Ok, so I am asking for your thoughts on this statement/question.

A report in one of todays papers states that a certain London Council is going to subsidise parents if they switch to cloth nappies instead of using disposable nappies. They say 3% of the UK's landfill waste is that of disposed nappies. So they are taking the green path. Fair enough but is this misguided?

Lets think here, how many extra washes could be created to wash all these millions of nappies? Surely this is not green! The extra carbon footprint created would be immense. No? They keep on going on about it in the press.

Also the practicalities...your out in town and your baby poops. Going to fold it up and take it home with you? As you walk through the bakery smelling of baby poop.

Also are they not much larger than disposable nappies..make sure you buy a bigger changing bag?

So is this nonsense? Would you switch to cloth nappies?

I will not be able to have a birth partner/coach for when I go into labor (husband deployed last month for 18 months, parents are in nursing home, no friends close by, don't know many people where I just moved to, can't afford a doula, etc).
I am thinking of just having a c-section instead of having to go through labor alone.
Has anyone on here had a c-section by choice without "needing" one?
Has anyone on here given birth without a birth partner/coach?
What are your experiences?
Just curious.

Well, I planned on getting pregnant for like 5 months. Then we finally started trying and got pregnant on the first cycle of trying. But I miscarried that baby at 5 weeks along. Now we are trying again. But for some reason I have no desire to look for baby names right now. Well, before I miscarried we had come up with the perfect names for a boy and a girl- Benjamin Allen and Evelyn Christine. I'm not sure if I will still want to use those or not, but I still really like them now. So would it be okay to use those names for our new baby, even though they were meant for the baby we lost, if they still feel right when the new baby is born?

So my period isn't actually due until the 26th, but I am still worried I may be pregnant.

I went to my yearly checkup last week and had a pap test, etc. And she felt my cervix or whatever the heck they are doing when they prod you're parts.

I didn't get a pregnancy test because I wasn't too worried at that time, but would she have noticed if I was pregnant? She said everything looked normal and didn't mention my uterus being larger or anything.

And thought I am not sure if a pap test can determine pregnancy, I doubt they check for that if it can, would that have said anything?

I know the simple answer is to go buy an EPT but I think I should wait till my period is actually late before wasting $15 on a test. I have done that too many times before ;-)

My 4 yr old keeps hitting the cat and pulling its tail. Would a physical punishment (kind of a, "do you like it?") be best, or would a timeout/take toys away punishment be best? I have already talked to him about it, but i cant decide on whats the best punishment. Thanks

I need to send a snack and lunch with my daughter to school this year.

Any tips on fun, healthy, unspoilable food that your kids love.

Any tips on how to keep things hot, cold & fresh.

Any things that I shouldn't send (I already know about the peanut concerns) as they spoil easily.

Thank you.

in order to switch him from his "carrier" to a rear-facing carseat(without a base, or one that stays in the car, continuously) Just wondering. I've been told different answers. I know I will ask my doctor before I decided anything but, I just wanted to know some opinions of other mom's/people out there. :)

If so, why do these young mothers look happy with their child? I've heard many stories of how their baby has changed their life for the good, and that the baby completes them. Is it the finicial the problem? But these babies are dressed in expensive baby clothes and shoes. Is it just a hoax about teen pregnancy? Is it really as bad as my health teacher say it is?

How do I switch from soy infant formula back to cow's milk formula without upsetting my son's stomach? The reason I switched to soy was because i felt it might be easier on his tummy because he was so gassy. He's older now 3 months and I think it would be better if he were on cow's milk formula. He has been on soy for about a month and I was wondering if there was a need to ease him back into cow's milk or can I just make the switch?
