What do I do? I mean this needs to be known. I know they will deny the possbility- well they did, anyway a lawsuit sure would bring it public. Money would be helpful to anyone but I don't have to have it, I am not trying to scam. They can keep the money or give it to charity.I want them outed. with out the heat the issue would never be addressed. I am already a huge phobic, bacteria, germs, dust...have days i can't go outside. Laundry hits the floor I have to wash it again. I am the last person that needed to find such a thing; I already had issues with formula anyway. Help...what or who is the best way to expose them?!!!

Stuff like that happens and they have no way of knowing until you inform them. If you call the company they should be very apologetic and offer you free formula for your trouble. You're in the position to get what you want out of it from THEM, but no court would fine the company because one customer found one bug in one can. Again, that stuff happens. As far as exposing them, I wouldn't waste your time. Enfamil is a HUGE and reputable company and have lawyers and disclaimers up the ying-yang. They're pretty invincible (with a near flawless record) and no one will stop using them because of one incident.

Well, in a factory it's kind of hard to monitor what goes into every single can of anything, be that formula, baked beans, or peanut butter. What exactly are you trying to expose? Bugs have wings, and I'm sure the factory isn't 100% airtight.

If you had found a used band-aid or part of a finger, then YES absolutely something to worry about and "expose".

Or if you had several cans that all had maggots or something like that.

But just one single bug? It must've flown in there from outside.

Mass production of food products will eventually end up with some organic creature in it at some point or another. You know formula is not sterile... I'm sure you could just throw that can out and buy a new one and chances are, you may not ever see another bug in a can of formula again.

I really don't think a lawsuit would go anywhere on this one. Nor would "exposing" them. This isn't even something that could be prevented.

Mead Johnson, the makers of Enfamil, is a very reputable firm with lots invested in quality control. They are proud of their reputation and zealous about protecting it. I'm betting they will make a great effort to find the cause.

Contact your pediatrician, pharmacist or retail outlet for the name of the local Mead Johnson pharmaceutical representative. Give your complaint to him or her.

I recommend you try the above approach before contacting an attorney.
